| Neither of them is especially compelling to me right now but they both have room for growth. I like that Inaho's intelligent and shows it sometimes. Though he's a little too on point, I'd like to see him screw up for once and how he would handle that. His motives are clouded at the moment (We don't really know what he wants or values or why he's doing what he's doing except that he was drafted.), I'm interested to see where they take his character. (To what ends will he "use" the Princess? Why is Slaine his enemy? Or was that a misunderstanding?) Slaine has a much more clear sense of purpose (protect the princess, etc.) and I guess I'm rooting for him since he's a nice guy but he's not really that interesting. I wonder what'll happen to that undying loyalty of his...I'm expecting that to change his personality somehow |

| Been rooting for Slaine since the first episode and start disliking Inaho more with each episode, so yeah pretty easy vote. |

| Inaho is a brick. He is a Gary Stu without a shred of character, i.e. he has the most bland type of personality one could imagine, and what makes things worse is that everyone around him is made so blatantly artificially stupid to show off how "smart" he is that his scenes are boring and thoroughly uninteresting. Everything about his character annoys me. Slaine is not perfect. He has flaws and emotions that influence his judgment. I don't feel the actions he takes or decisions he makes are forced. They feel natural and believable. |

| Inaho is much more tolerable than Slaine for me. The reason why more people like Slaine more is probably because aside from him being more " human ", when i think the most human in this series is actually the side characters and those who even suffer mental traumas. Slaine is likeable simply because most fans consider Shipping a serious business and his drawn like your everyday Bishounen. In all honesty in most of his scenes i tend to skip unless they try to actually talk more sense. Every time i see him on screen i expect him to just keep on saying Hime this and Hime that and that is just really annoying. They are in a war and seriously your love life should be the least of your worries.-_- Inaho so far is the more tolerable of the two he may be the pokerface type of protagonist but at least he makes sense, he fights simply because he wants to live and protect those that are important to him, and as he said THIS IS WAR. And i won't be too quick to judge his character since we don't know anything yet from his past. This season showed Slaine and most of the other Character's past while Inaho's backstory still isn't revealed . Inaho is better as a soldier who kicks ass. Let all the Hime this & that chasing to Slaine .... And the BadAss killing to Inaho. Inaho is just the more tolerable character out of the two. (And besides if you change some of the female character's hairstyle they'd look exactly like the Princess) :p |
| They're both bad characters in their own way. Inaho is probably a tad worse though. A teen genius superman that sucks all the drama out of whichever scene he's in (because you whatever happens he'll fix it, destroy it, counter it CPR it...you name it...). |

| I really hate Inaho's character right now. He has no motivation except to survive. Nothing fazes him and he never treats anything differently. He's just...there. The worst part about it is that since he is mostly the insight we have to the other characters (Calm, Rayet, Inko, ect.), they don't have a lot of opportunities to become characters with his 2 word answers to everything. However, if his character were to undergo a huge transformation that sends him over the edge or somethiing he could be the one that carries the show. But right now it's just the demi-God autist boy and his harem. Then there is Slaine. Nothing about him as a character is remarkable, but nothing is terrible. The one potential great thing about Slaine though so far is that his personality is very dynamic. He shows a wide variety of emotions and has probably been the least predictable character in the show. I like that even though he has grown up with only 1 person not treating him like trash, he isn't weak and doesn't play the victim. The problem with him right now is he barely has any interaction with any of the main cast. |
