| At first I thought "That art looks like Ga-Rei Zero" ... Then I saw Yomi. I wondered "Did I just get trolled?" So I looked at the anime page and it lists "Characters: Ga-Rei Zero", but has no relation to Ga-Rei Zero. As much as I don't mind more Yomi... this is a different anime... they really couldn't be bothered to come up with new characters? Is it really that hard to swap out some styling and names?... I can't help but wonder if it will progress the same as Ga-Rei Zero... where the first episode is awesome, yet almost completely useless to the rest of the story. (edit: after reading a bit of this thread, it seems my suspicion is correct) I enjoyed the action. That teleporting sword girl... I like her. |

| The start confused me just as the whole episode. So, this first episode was like a flashforward? And we'll back to the start of the manga from the next week? Fun fact: White girl has not white hair. Oh btw, the music is SICK. I simply love it. |

| Wait, woa, what. Did I really just see Yomi and Kagura there? Damn, Yomi, my waifu, is alive. :') Though I doubt they will appear again in the series, their cameo really took me by surprise. As for the anime itself, seems like it'll be like GRZ - the first eps actually takes place later in the series. But who knows. Hope the overall show won't be disappointed. |

| People can rage all they want, but going this route was the smartest idea. The Ga-rei cameos were just awesome easter eggs set in the same u-verse. They got a lot of people who never followed the manga interested for sure. I'm more interested for this then the manga now. |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |
| This is set in the Ga Rei Zero universe. This episode was full of action which reminded me of the first episode of Ga Rei Zero. Some impressive animation at times. |

The characters were pretty much unexplained for the most part but I can live with it for now. At least I got the gist of it. Will keep watching and if it keeps going at this rate, it'll probably be one of my favorites this season. That's a pretty unbalanced comparison when ESP had to start in the middle of a bunch of fighting for shock factor, when Akame and Ghoul don't even have to try at that stuff. |

| That was terrible. Fight scenes are awful, citizens and soldiers are behaving ridiculously. Soldiers are standing and watching how that katana girl is destroying the plane without at least trying to do anything, citizens are surrounded around the truck with bomb and watching like retards, guy from 4th division is aiming at katana girl and waiting another 5 minutes for God who knows... And why is there comedy tag once more? 3/10 so far, giving it 2 more episodes to redeem itself.. Btw is Gai-zero on the same level as this crap? Because I was planning to watch it and was quite hyped for it. |

| pacy first episoe where there was no abundance of action scenes. the powers are somewhat unique and the effects given while those esp powers gets activated are mighty good.the first half weirdly reminded me of Ga-Rei Zero |

| Yomi troll strikes again. Everyone commenting is like either a Yomi fangirl (sqeeeeee) or never seen Ga:Rei. The first ep of Ga:Rei was nothing like the manga or plot summary; it seems Tokyo ESP is following the same format. As for it not being the same universe or not, I would say the anime would have to be now that the 4th Division (orange suit team) actually had a role fighting one of the villains. That is not just a cameo appearance there. |

| Whoa, now that was an exciting and action filled episode. Didn't expect this anime to be like that at all. Interesting to see that they apparently started episode 1 with the final arc though. I've gotta say I am loving the music so far, especially with how epic some of it sounded. |

Ga Rei chars are cameo, they have nothing to do with the plot, how plot happens? Lel plot will happen the same, if you had read manga you'd know that first episode are scenes from the last arc... They did that to get people hooked and then they'll revert it to chapter one. Good riddance I'd say. |
