| I watch this dubbed for the same reasons I watch anything that's dubbed. I have a hard time reading the sub's fast enough. I like watching anime with my wife. Constantly pausing to read and then asking her if she has read it, constantly, is no fun. We watch a lot of anime together because so much is subbed. I will watch the occasional subbed new release by myself. But I will put up with the English voiceovers, even when sub par, for the chance to watch and enjoy it with my wifu. Side note: I did ADR for TV shows at a post production studio. So I'm more aware of voices than the average viewer. I hear the same dozen or so actors doing all the English dubs. That is annoying. And some times I can only think of a previous One Piece character every time I watch Fairy Tale. Perfect, no, but it's better than never watching anime with my wifu. |

| Dub. Both sub and dub are really good with this show, and Aya was the better Haruhi, but Crispin Freeman, Michelle Ruff, and Johnny Yong Bosch really bring out the show at it's best for me. Freeman especially, as his performance as Kyon does a MUCH better job bringing out the cynical, snarky, sarcastic protagonist we all know and love. Tomokazu Sugita is okay, but the only emotion he really nails with Kyon is boredom. |
| I know this thread is two years old, but dub. Not even close. Love Sugita but he just can't compare to Crispin Freeman. |
