| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was sweet. The animation was top notch imo with the rain and backgrounds. There were some flags in the air already. I thought Futaba's role in this was alright with her cheerfulness. It's funny how she is following the MC though. I think I'll refer to him as Kou with the story so far. (even though Tanaka is often the name being referred to so far) Anyways yeah... I've been following the manga for awhile so hopefully this will deliver. First episode was decent though. I liked it :3  |

| That was beautiful. I was a little sad that the game of cops and robbers was cut out, but that's okay. It was honestly a great, balanced adaption, and I couldn't be happier. Can't wait till we meet Makita! |
| The adaption wasn't bad at all. Really enjoyed it! I love Kaji Yuki as Kou. |
| Being stuck at the shrine under the rain! They were really conscious of each other! What a romantic, sweet yet somewhat awkward scene for the two. When Tanaka holds up his hand in front of his face >.< Futaba really trying hard to not be cute. It was a little funny. The fateful reunion!!! The feels on how they confessed their old love. Glad they got past the misunderstanding, since Tanaka blocking his face again is a good sign! A warm yet somewhat cold breeze hits. With Tanaka being cold yet would help her! Tanaka did save her though, that scene with that cafeteria lady :O That apology >.> This might finally bring me to read the manga that I've been holding back for years! Didn't like reading ongoing ones too much to get the maximum feels from it. With a great start like this, I might not be able to hold back :P |

| Good stuff :D I've been planning to read the manga for quite a while now and this motivated me to do so more ^^ Futaba is pretty funny, the way she makes herself non appealing for the guys is lol but I agree with everything Kou told her about her friendship being shallow. I'm liking Kou quite a lot. He may seem a bit cruel towards her but he actually cares about her a lot ^^ Can't wait to see how they'll end up together after they've both changed like this. Also loved the insert song during the confession of loving eachother in the past. It was really beautiful :3 |

| Yaaay, it's finally here! So sweet and cute with some funny moments. Futaba is so cute, and their reunion were pretty funny xD Futabas facial expression was funny. I wonder how this serie will end tho, since the manga is still on-going. But I can't wait for the rest of the episodes, since I love the manga! |

It gets even better (not talking about plot wise or romance) in the later volumes, the way things are handled, and especially regarding Kou's character development. Ahhh Kaji Yuuki as Kou is <3 He's doing such a great job! I was just thinking how Kaji Yuuki should get more roles like Kenma, and I forgot that Kou is also quite soft spoken, although his words may not be. I love the flashback scene with all the watercolors, it was well done. I also am a little sad that there's no cops and robbers, but I'm sure we'll see at least a glimpse in the future, just because of the one thing Futaba does that makes it so...her, lol. This was so perfect in every way ^^ |

| Finally aoharaido!!! Its so good to see it animated and my beautiful kou <3 Its a bit sad first episode, i remember the manga made me sad too at this part but i really want to see all the romantic parts of the manga at the anime. I wish it has more than 12 episode tho |

| This is really interesting and sweet,compared to those generic shoujo anime where the heroine is your plain shy girl. This heroine is interesting,also Maaya Uchida as her VA makes me love her even more. Looking forward for this. |

| Of all the anime I'm watching this season, surprising enough, this series had BY FAR the best first episode. Considering this is Production I.G., I get a feel this is an Ano Hana-esque series (w/o the supernatural elements) mixed in with similar artwork to Usagi Drop. Still, what I loved most about this series is not only does it properly introduce the main characters, but shows how much the characters have evolved, for better or worse. I think it properly encapsulates just how much people can change in their adolescent lives over three years. Kou (I'll just call him this since we can't decide to call him Tanaka or Mabuchi) has went through a lot in three years, moved away, parents divorced, changed names. It seems like the kid has had it rough. Then there's Futaba who is pretending to be someone she's not. From a personal point, I like this aspect. This is a pretty common high school trait. I know that's what I tried doing when I was in high school and unfortunately, it took me until about midway through my junior year to realize that it's stupid to try being something you're not. So, to be fair, this might be one of the more realistic high school romantic drama anime I've seen so far, at least from the first episode. I certainly hope this continues to grow and improve because I was absolutely floored by this first episode. |

| Great first episode, everything I hoped!! Loved it. I just have to get used to Kou's voice, I didn't imagine it as depressing as ..that. But everything else was great! The pacing is ok, I don't expect the anime to get far anyway since they never cast Touma. I really hope there's a second season next year though, I'm dying for an animated Touma. ;_; Edit: Also I love the soundtrack! |

| Well that was a very cute way to start. That animation, really, beautiful. I'm glad I can see Kou animated now, along with Yoshioka. The coldness in Kou's words feels too much real, it's almost painful. I really hope the entire show follow the exact path of the first episode. |

| That was one of better starts this season.Yuki Kaji seems like a good choice for Ta-...Mabuchi.I heard people saying he won't do any good tho, i guess they were either wrong, or later it's going to be even harder for Kaji.Anyways, for now i think both characters have great seiyuus. Animation was outstanding (sasuga Production I.G) - OST was nice.I'll watch it till the end, and if it won't cover whole manga im going to read it as soon as anime ends. 8/10 is my first impression. |
