| The manga is published in Nakayoshi Magazine (なかよし). According to the Japanese Wikipedia article about Nakayoshi Magazine, its genre is shoujo manga (ジャンル: 少女漫画雑誌). They use the word "genre" (ジャンル), but many people would say that the technically correct word in English is "demographic". The Wikipedia page also says that the target readership are girls in elementary school and middle school (読者対象: 小中学生の少女). I had a look at the manga of Sabagebu, and this sounds reasonable to me. I am going to go way out on a limb here and say that the anime adaptation is not so suitable for girls in elementary school or even middle school. Maybe ... that means that this is a seinen anime ... |

Unless you think about like Barakamon and Aria have a similiar feeling as series such as Detroit metal city and KKK. |

If it feels like the show is meant for a seinen audience (men aged 18+), then it feels like a seinen. It's pretty simple. I do concur with OP. |
| Who the heck is this show aimed at? How does the studio expect this to do well? It's not for the shoujo demographic, C³-bu (which it seems to be a direct parody of sometimes) didn't do that well, and gag series are a dime a dozen. |
