Topic.
Do they make more sense than this failure here?
I kind of gave up on it 3 episodes ago and just watch it for the sake of not dropping it at 10/12 episodes.
I saw that Yen Press has licensed the novels and I'd like to read an actual coherent story.
So, are they worth buying and is there any actual story in them(as opposed to this shitty excuse for an anime that barely has some plot to show you)?

Well....yeah, there are some people that dont like Jin's writing(I honestly am ok with it, and dont know exactly what they dont like in it...maybe because it's a bit vague at times, and at others he trows some revelations at your face?I dont really know... '-' ). But I think that the novels are more linear and detalied than the anime...
But you need to put in mind that each media has it's onw route, so there is a point in the story that the happenings from the novel, manga and anime split up and each one goes to it's onw way, to understand the full of the story you need at least know the basics of each other...so I recommend you to also read the manga, but I think you should go fine just with the novels.
Oh, and the novels are narrated by the characters POV.
Sorry if it was confusing, and sorry for my bad english @@

Since the LN and manga had already sold much its probably safe to say most viewers had experience in the franchise already and the anime helped to introduce their friends and others to it, since the LN's and manga continued to sell, early volumes, each week.

Itd probably be good to rewatch it after getting into the written media.

I'll just say that in the interviews of the staff working on the anime, they never mentioned "I hope this will atract new fans" nor mentioned new fans, they only said "I hope that the fans of kagerou project will like it" or "there were be new details that are not on the other medias, so i hope that the kagerou project fans will catch them", "it will be a diferent route from the other medias". Things like that, I must say, they actually said it while promoting the anime, but well, just in Japan, where the series is pretty famous because of NND XD
