Enjoyable manga, but at the same time I feel it was very repetitive and lacking.

Still....a SOLID 8/10
what was repetitive about it?

I didn't like this chapter specifically, a flavorless ending, I would have liked an ending all together at school.

Speaking in general until the Miyabi saga, the level is very high, while with the last part of Shibuya the level drops, especially I didn't like the last 5 chapters and the awakening of Onizuka was too obvious.

But is still 10/10 anyway.

What a fantastic series GTO is! This is certainly one of the greatest classics in manga. Definitely worth reading, especially for the younger folks.

I kinda wish I read this throughout my time at school rather than now, as this manga teaches you many important life lessons that I could've taken to heart then and use for myself.

If this series kept me more drawn in, I would've given this a perfect 10, but it didn't, unfortunately. So I'll give GTO a solid 9/10.

Please show your love for my Kiss x Sis manga review here. It will only take you 2 minutes of your time 🙏🙏

Very good final chapter to what was a good but slightly disappointing manga in the reread (rated 9 before, 7-7.5 now). The lessons were great, and there were tons of memorable/awesome moments that I enjoyed and seeing Onizuka break the walls of his students and truly be the 'Greatest Teacher' out there was such a wild but awesome ride. Great teachers don't necessarily mean the best with grades and education necessarily, and Onizuka in this entire manga showed why.

Only reason why I'm giving it a strong 7, and not a higher score is because some of the events and characters were too dumb for my liking despite the good intentions (particularly in the final quarter of the series), and the Miyabi storyline was really disappointing too. But overall, GTO's quality is like life itself in a way; despite plenty of stumbles, it's about rising up from them and enjoying life and youth as much as you can, that'll pave the way for the rest of your life.

> start reading a seemingly comedic manga about a wacky high school teacher over a year after you graduate

> become enamored with the lovable cast of characters and deep psychological messages

> realize you wasted your whole four years of high school being the resident background "Quiet Kid™" when you could have had experienced high school like this had you just been more socially outgoing

> finish the manga and realize it's over, just like your chance to have a meaningful high school experience; gone forever

> cry

Some of you never watched Bakugan Battle Brawlers on TeleToon in 2008 and it shows.

Not gonna say the manga was anywhere close to great, but it is quite a fulfilling (and absolutely hilarious) experience. Easily one of the best chapters in the manga (second to this would be one of those comedic chapters).

Honestly, loved the ending, that final page, "what does school mean to you", I love it! Besides just how awesome Onizuka was, I loved the characters! Excellent work all around, just wish the rest of the manga was an anime!

It sounds like you've really connected with the characters and story of the series you're referring to, and it's not uncommon for stories to have that effect on people. When a series ends, especially when you've become so invested in it, it can leave a void. However, the beauty of storytelling is that it often sparks creativity in others. While official continuations or expansions may not exist, there's a vibrant fan community out there that may have created fanfiction or other fan works to continue the story or explore different aspects of it.

If you haven't already, you might try searching for fanfiction or fan-created content related to the series. You may find something that scratches that itch for more adventures with Onizuka and the Class of 4. Additionally, sometimes creators release supplementary materials or side stories, so it's worth checking if there are any official spin-offs or extra content related to the series.

Regardless, it's wonderful to hear how much the series has impacted you and brought you joy. Sometimes, the best stories are the ones that leave us wanting more, as they inspire us to imagine our own adventures and endings for the characters we've grown to love.
