 According to the official website of Weekly Shounen Jump, it was announced that the mangaka of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, has been hospitalized due to a tonsils operation. One Piece will be put on a two week break and will not be featured in the 28th and 29th issues of Weekly Shounen Jump.The manga had two-week hiatus last May due to his illness as well, and the break was scheduled this time so that the surgery can improve his health. The surgery I'm having this time will take out the tonsils, which really hindered my work. Since I'm having this surgery anyways, I plan to have a bazooka installed on my shoulder. | I had to get my tonsils out when I was six those things are gross and do frequently make people sicker (I'm sure his lifestyle didn't help either but tonsils in general are just... bad at their job). This is a very different situation then last year when he was hospitalized for exhaustion thankfully, I'm personally pretty glad he's getting those things out he will definitely be healthier for it. |

| Just saw this announcement when I read the new chapter. I don't even mind the hiatus. The quality Oda puts out makes me think I wouldn't mind even if we got chapters bi-weekly or monthly.
