Wow that was intense. An orangutan on a ship and even more so with the action. I didn't mind the fan service but the way the episode was done was awesome.

Really loved the OST as well this episode.

We meet again lewd orangutan. They really made him kind of moe, lol.
It's funny how the orangutan that was smoking wasn't censored.

Finally anime-only viewers can get a clearer idea of what Stands can be.

One of my personal favourite fights in SC, Strength makes its glorious debut!
Forever (the name of the our primate friend for those who don't know) is a hilariously strange opponent and I loved how David animated the fight (Finally Jotaro in his iconic blue colors!). His voice is strange though, I expected better and more realistic noises.

Those dead black eyes of his was creepy as hell. And the fight was actually a lot more intense than I thought it was going to be.

I like the extra creepy factor they added. And they're really abusing that trailer OST a lot. They even sneaked in a slower and creepier version of it when they were exploring the ship.

And I'm glad they didn't censor the beating of Forever too much. Making me looking forward to

Enya also confirmed that no Stand will be skipped until we reach Justice. More proof that we will get a split cour and way more than 24 episodes.

Why did I always imagine that the fight between Jotaro and Forever took place outside the ship where the others were getting sucked into the ship? I guess it's just a little bit difficult to pay attention to those things in the manga.

Also shit, did they skip the part where the dude in Singapore mistakes Polnareff's luggage for trash?

It seems Dio wanted to test his hypothesis in part 1. Does anyone know how long this episodic story telling is going to continue?

I think they will show it in the next episode or will change it up entirely to accompany their plans for Ann/Runaway Girl in the anime.

Great episode. I was waiting for this part. I like how different stands can be and this one surprised me. Kinda funny they didn't censor the orangutan lighting a smoke but still block Jotaro doing it. Its a ok for animals. xD

This episode really tempted me to drop this shit and just wait for the blue ray to come out. Also I don't like Jotaro that much but his fucking voice actor made it worse, being all calm when his ass gets blasted through the ships door and not even reacting to the fan in his shoulder. They could've fucking made him react to it atleast. They need to get their shit together, they had a long time to do this anime for shitty mistakes like this, Dio saved this episode, when they censored Jotaro smoking the cig again I stopped watching out of frustration.

Dio's philosophical reflection in the beginning was awesome.
Looks like he too has some sort of indirect fear towards the Joestar bloodline..

Damn, that sailor's death was brutal!

The freighter itself turning out to be the Stand was quite surprising!

Liked how calm Jotaro was even when impaled by that fan. XD
The battle ended a bit too quickly. Star Finger proves its' proficiency once again.

That cigarette censoring though..

Good episode. Polnareff's fight next week.

Loved this ep quite a lot :D

Why u no show Dio's face!!

Anne is being shy of Jotaro? Or just tsun? XD Jumping to Joseph like that XD But well after he saved her she's gonna probably lessen her tsuntsun more hehe ^^;

Lol'd at the perverted Orangutan XD Smoking, checking out porn mags, peeping on a naked loli taking a shower, killing and wanting to rape a loli O_O That's quite the criminal hahaha.

Loved the fight against Jotaro. How he used the fingers even though his arms were trapped was awesome. And Dat ORAORAORA XD Couldn't Joseph just use his ripple to break through? He didn't even try :(

Seems like the Enyaba's son is the guy who killed Polnareff's sis? Interesting.

Well can't wait for nxt ep. Seems interesting :D

Forever lighting up a cigarette and reading a playboy, Jotaro not even reacting to the fan blade in his shoulder, Joseph musing over how dangerous the situation was only for Polnareff to ask him if he wants some gum.....I love this series.

Really looking forward to next episode if it's what I think it is.

Why so upset about the censored smoking? It´s not as if that was something that anyone was especially looking forward to right? At least it wasn´t completely removed like in other anime and will be decensored in the Bluerays.

By the way, I loved the scene where the fan bitch-slapped Jotaro.

Fuck his appeal, I get he's trying to be the stoic character and he was alright previous episodes but you don't get stabbed by a fan in your shoulder where blood is gushing and be unreactive to it, that shit has nothing to do with character, he's not fucking Dio, he's not someone who is trained to withstand pain, no he's a 17 year old punk and in such case the problem lies in how the shit is presented. I don't know if Araki did this shit in the manga because I only know of the OVA in part 3 where I actually enjoyed him better. It's a shame Dio, Joseph and Polnareff get less spotlight then this mtf. Anyways, it is what it is, I'm just gonna see what happens but I'm not looking forward to the rest.

Not directly, but it was established that you can only interact with Stands on a mental level, and since the Ripple is a technique enabled through the body, it wouldn´t work on them. So basically Stands can only be fought against with other Stands.

Well, that's Araki for you. do not worry, though: The next stand users that were announced by Enya this episode will mostly be handled by the other core members. Jotaro will not always be the one who fights.

The scene is exactly the same in the manga.

This isn't something that is really even unique to Jotaro, all Jojos tank damage like nothing and keep fighting at full potential even at the brink of death. Characters in general receive devastating damage in this series left and right and continue the fight as if it's nothing for that matter (then a few scenes later are completely healed). If you've had extended exposure to Jojo I'm surprised you are so bothered by this particular scene, it's pretty much mild compared to other injuries that characters ignore throughout the many fights of the franchise.

That's not tanking, he should've atleast felt pain, react to it and try to remove it like a normal person. Also you can tell his voice actor isn't into it at all while he was analyzing, there is a limit to the suspension of disbelief.

Ignoring an injury that would be enough to put someone in crippling pain is pretty much the same no matter the context, but yes, the healers make the recoveries more reasonable.

Daisuke Ono is doing the stoic act pretty well, it's just that Jotaro is very limited to essentially this specific trait here... with some Gary Stu vibes on top of it. I prefer most other Jojo protagonists over him as well (Jolyne <3) , but his stoic vibes are one of the lesser problem he has as a character concept-wise.

I'm sure he felt it, but why should he show his pain while a little girl is watching the whole scene? He probably didn't want to worry her ;)

Jokes aside, Ono Daisuke is doing a marvelous job to reproduce his character. Now go read the manga.

Is this the first time you notice Jotaro is like this? I'd think you would of gotten over it a long time ago, and there are plenty of other calm characters in Jojo.
