I think Vilenna is getting a little bit impatient there though. I mean, it's like she's just waiting for time to pass to the moment so her plans will settle forward. Shame. If she acts this way, the plan won't work as smoothly I imagine. Then again though, there could be other variables. |

| This volume made me amazed by such a chaotic identity crisis. The tension with the country, the emperor's madness growing, the princess' distress continuing, and a lot more political concerns, it's all neatly written and boring at the same time, and I mean it all in a good way. |

| Felt like this was another fine novel, this time doing a bit more justice to the characters in the story and making me more fascinated in Orba and his identity battle between the gladiator in him, and the facade of a prince. Things got a bit suspect too for Vileena since she clearly is blossoming more and more respect for the masked gladiator that is Orba (unaware that he's also playing the prince Gil role currently), but the medal that the gladiator won was worn by the prince himself where the medal actually saved him from critical damage and potential death. Orba in prince mode says it's a lucky charm that was just handed to him, but that's a bit too far-fetched to actually believe that. Still though, solid interactions and the story while moving slowly, was pretty well thought out this time around. |
