Marathon it. And watch it without expectations. Seriously. I mean it. Have zero expectations. Don't read reviews, don't read the plot. Just watch it. If you follow these instructions, Afro Samurai won't disappoint. It's not good, it's not bad, it's not average. It's just unrateable. Not in a positive nor negative way. Just unrateable. And worth watching.

I just finished it and it exceeded my expectation. I had been meaning to watch and just finally did. Loved every minute of and started looking for the movie which is every bit of amazing as the episodes. Nice tale of revenge and more revenge.

If you like Afro Samurai so much, then watch Samurai Champloo. It's one of the recommendations, it's fantastic and very similar in style. Samurai Champloo is longer though which is nice.

I think they should make a live action, though I don't think anyone would match up to his looks.

I went in knowing that it had been receiving rave reviews (from critics and my friends alike), but found it to be quite average in the end. Like, I mean the epitome of average. I honestly wanted to like it more, but just couldn't.
