| high-budget fest! The animation is WOW! It's hard to find something like this now, 2010, WHY? I'm liking it so far, the characters are cool, the style is immense, the story looks promising, and the action is definitely infinitely awesome! |

| Digging the action sequences. The animation is just really pleasant. But theres actual substance to the show other then the animation. Even if its over the top crazy stuff thus far. Which is nice. |
| Awwwwww - Kamina's father died on the surface. How sad! ;___; But, it was really awesome. I am already hooked into this. And, I can't wait till the true epicness happens because that's when the show gets AMAZING. And, I love the brotherly love between Kamina and Simon. It reminds me of my relationship with my siblings. So, that's nice. Now - unto the next episode :3 |

| Yoko's seiyuu is really growing on me. I just realized she is also Kyoko from Skip beat. ^^ Kamina.... I don't know what to say. He had so much hopes for the surface and to meet his pops. It's heartbreaking really. Although, he is getting better by the episode and I believe this realization is going to develop his character more. |

| So that's why this series is named Gurren Lagann... that's pretty cool. It was sad when Kamina realized that was his dad that was buried there. It'd be interesting to see how he deals with this realization. Also, Yoko. We need more Yoko! |

| Liked this episode more, although the beastmen seem childish and one dimensional. Reminds me of Fallout 3 a little bit. The ending was a shock when Kamina found his father's remains. |
