| Too fast? I don't read the manga, but a bunch of episodes of only Himiko's back story would be incredibly boring. This seemed sufficient to explain her motivations. And next chapter apparently we're getting the explanation of why they're all that island. Episode was good. |

| Wow, that's one fucked up backstory. She invites her friends to meet a band but all except Himiko getting raped. I know the friend was angry( she had the right to be) and didn't know where to direct her anger but still she's such a bitch. Interesting how she was willing to commit suicide than lose her virginity. This show just hooked me further in with its teeth. The ED of this show seems like a reflection of humanity in its primal raw state. At least thats how I interpret it with the ballad they chose |

| I didn't expect them to reveal Himiko's past this early. The pacing was faster as compared to the manga, but overall it was still a good episode. The censorship was okay, glad they decided to keep the gore, though. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I thought that fat bastard was creepier in the anime, than in the manga. Anyway, the real story should start in the next episode or so. I'm excited. Also can't wait for a certain character to make his appearance, though I get the feeling he won't appear until episode 4 or 5. ...Or maybe 6. |

| The characters in this episode were less stupid than in the first one, so it was an improvement. Too much rape in this episode though. I hope they will tone it down a bit after that. |
| So, she definitely has had a disturbing history. Hopefully, it doesn't go overboard in that area. Still seems promising and the episode was pretty good. I'm ready for some Btooom! action though :D! |

| Awesome. And the fatty is gonna make his debut next week. I guess Sakamoto will enter Btooom! mode the episode after that. About this episode, Himiko's Seiyuu fits her perfectly and does a really good job. Also, they integrated her past into much earlier that in the manga, I guess that means the anime won't reach that part of the manga. |

| The most amazing character is Sakamoto in this anime, yeah I actually was expecting that Himiko would be introduce in the next episode when I read the preview title. About her friend Miho and rest of them, did Himiko friends even think about it's close to impossible to save them? I do think Himiko did the right decision to run away and call police. Once you said something like that, you may regret it for your whole life. I agree more over that Miho and the rest of them is stupid only think of that Himiko betrayed them. " Words can be like a double edges sword " = Be careful with your words, you might regret it. Yeah there is only 13 episodes there isn't enough material to cover the whole manga. Volume 9 recently been release I don't even know what producent were thinking when they decide to make an anime for Tbooom |

| Wow! Is what I have to say...I didn't know what to expect from this anime, but I am thoroughly excited now after watching this eps. This eps. gave me a back story showing how they may have gotten there, and how treacherous people can be on this island. Im def. looking forward to eps. 3 and what's to come! |

| They did Himiko's past in second episode. o_o I liked the manga version of her past better, but of course they couldn't do it on tv. They censored it quite nicely. Looking forvard to next episodes. |

| Good episode in general but like many others i can't believe they showed Himiko's past already i personal was expecting it to be in the second half of the anime. Lylaaz said: Wow i cant believe they introduced her so early. In manga she first looked like some evil cute badass trying to kill our MC xD 100% agree and thats an element never to be seen in the anime lol. |

| I guess it was it was necessary to establish the backstory, but that was still too much rape for me. I hope there will be less of that in the future. I'm also not sure why it was necessary to once again portray the fat guy as a disgusting otaku and a rapist. Someone should tell Japan that not all fat people are otaku/stalkers/rapists/etc. Besides that, the episode was quite good. I'm guessing the crazy guy with the knife will be one of the main antagonists to our duo once they inevitably join forces. |

| I read the manga, it is a good adaptation for the moment, the first episode was worse than second, i think at least, the first was more boring for me. The manga for me is fine, a different battle royale, not really fascinating but sometimes it is fun, if you like this kind of shows where is mainly shock value, it'll be your show, if not, you could search for another thing. |

| I completely agree. That's life though. We make a conscious choice to do something and don't ever think of what the consequences of our actions could land us in. It's much easier to blame Himeko than take responsibility that she went there and wanted to go there. The outcome of her going there was her being raped. No, I'm not saying she and her friends were asking for it, that's awful and ridiculous, but what I am saying was it was in no way Himeko's fault. Sad. This really did remind me of relationships in the real world. People love to blame others when they in general should be looking at themselves. IN RESPONSE TO THIS COMMENT: This sin't the Btoom manga, this is the anime, the adaptation, therefore it makes sense that it has differences and if you are honestly condemning the anime for changing the one small detail of the timing then you really don't understand the word adaptation and really shouldn't be watching one. I enjoyed the episode, it got a bit dark and I really felt sorry for Himeko, especially the part were her friends blamed ger for what happened since in my honest opinion it really wasn't her fault that happened and they are just making her feal guilty. In my opinion this is going to be one of the best in the season if they stick to the source material and have it in multiple seasons and don't cram the whole thing into 12 episodes since things like that never turn out well. |

| Killing the teacher, did NOT see that one coming 0_o that was just out of nowhere. And the rape scene(s?), wow.. this show is really dark. Man, that was hard to watch.. Glad to see the fat guy got what he deserved though :P And dang it, I was hoping the protag and the girl would team up early on :L dah well. On a side note, how they do the actions of people on the island reminds me a lot of Eden no Ori, but I guess it's just expected in general of a lot of people in these kind of situations (not to mention they were apparently all "wished away" by someone in the first place) 12 episodes? Daw.. Well the manga is ongoing. I hope they pull this off right, it seems like every anime adaption off a manga that's still on going ended to openly, which, honeslty, is something I should expect. It would make sense for them to make a "read the manga" type of ending, but I rarely get the chance to actually read them D: All I can hope for is more than one season pulled of right for an ongoing manga, which seems to be an almost impossible dream. Although its still early, who knows what's going to happen! :P |
