Well I'm reading the manga and watched a bit of the anime. All I can say is that the anime is a bit censored compared to the manga. The manga is much more .. violent. Moreover, it's said in his biography that, even before the manga starts, Hibari did killed people : If he is amongst a crowd, he tends to play violent "games" with rules like "I'll kill anyone who wakes me up when I'm sleeping," and as mentioned, the loser often has to pay the price with his life. Last but not least, the TYL (ten years later) Hibari is really in tha mafia and he kills. (For example, Gamma, stabbed through the neck) |
