Is it just me or did Subaru's increasing level of pedo get noticed in this episode?

I'm thinking he'll do something illegal before this series is over

He hasn't done any illegal acts in the novel so far.

I don't think he will do something illegal. I think he's just trying to be a mentor figure to her.

Nice episode, I'm happy to see there was less pointless fanservice in this episde :) I hope it'll stay like this. Guess the other episodes will be about their training and personal problems etc

I think having some fan service, but not a lot (like this episode), is a good idea. It seems like this will have a good story.

This is going better than I thought. Cute characters and a touching story.

I like this MC, he isn't afraid of telling the truth even if it hurts, or putting up an actual fight against someone who does not really have a chance against him. It's refreshing. Glad Mihoshi got some screen time, it's so bad when one's favorite character is just in a supporting role. Luckily Tomoka is my second favorite. The seiyu helps too. 3 points episode (5/5) keep it coming!

LOL this relationship between those 2 is just hilarious, he'll protect her passion. Oh man! I mean it would look more normal if she was in her teens but I guess loli elementary are ok.

Good episode, though I'm kinda of scared

Regardless, I'm watching for the story, not for the loli.

I thought it was awful when she said she was going to quit basketball if she lost the match. Emotional blackmail much, even though unintentional as she didn't know?
Don't they have basketball clubs or community sports centers where they can all play together? Same goes for Subaru, what a wimp. He should also just go and bang his loli aunt already, that'll teach her to meddle in his life. >:D

Definitely not the best anime of the season, probably not the worst.

Up to the next episode!

Surprisingly on-topic after the immediate otaku-pandering of the first episode. It also beings up an interesting idea; people who take something very seriously (i.e. basketball) are typically admired (especially so in anime) but does that mean that people who are more casual about it should be required to sacrifice on their behalf? Given that Tomoka is actually very serious herself I'm not sure this idea is getting developed in a sensible way, though.

Well, thing is, too much of something is bad, and Tomoka's experience shows. She used to be so serious about basketball that she went all Drill Sergeant Nasty on her team. That would definitely strike to anybody as overbearing, and therefore, an undesirable character trait, more so for a leader like Tomoka.

Simply put, she doesn't want to experience any of it ever again, so she quit b-ball. But then, when she transferred to Keishin, she met basketball once again, this time through Maho. Maho is definitely quite casual about it, and so do the other girls who Maho introduced to the game. And yet, Maho enjoys it so much it doesn't matter. The other girls, not so much (but to be fair, they just have to try playing the game).

But of course, sometimes sacrifices had to be made, and casuals don't have to do it all the time. If they do though, it's for the sake of A FRIEND. As we will see in the next episodes, the team has become close friends by themselves, and will therefore be willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of each other.

Alright episode.Good thing Tomoka didn't quit. If she did we wouldn't continue the story would we. It's nice to see that she genuinely loves basketball.

I liked it. Overall I sort of liked it, I especially liked the match between Tomoka and Subaru and the aftermath part on the bridge was fairly good as well, show is still average so far though.

Can't both teams train at different hours?
The day is really long, even other clubs could fit in if they get two daily hours of training.

I'm guessing that Tomoka will carry most of her team again but the power of friendship will win over at the end

That 1v1 match between Subaru and Tomoka looked cool, also I like the fact it didn't end in a cliche where Tomoka will score a shot against all odds. Also, I'm starting to appreciate basketball. Well, girl's basketball at least. hehe

This deal between the boys' and girls' club through their match seems to lopsidedly favour the boys. If the girls win, then the status-quo is maintained; but if the boys win, then they get to monopolise the gym practice and dissolve the girls' club?
