I can't believe how much better the action is, why has it gone downhill so much!?!?!?!?!!!!!! We've waited so long, Naruto's finally strong and then they let us down with the animation, I mean seriously, compare Drunk Lee vs. Kimimaro or Kakashi vs. Kakuzu & Hidan to Naruto's Frog Kumite just before he recharges - pitiful. That's the sole reason why I gave this episode a 4/5. Us faithful Naruto watches have been waiting for a moment like this and yet they couldn't get their best animators on the episodes. There have even been non-action orientated episodes, like Naruto mourning Jiraiya's death, which has had far better animation than in this episode and for that I'm disappointed. I mean Rasen Shuriken. I actually still like the show, and I'm sticking with it as long as we don't return to "a place to return to", or have another "Year of Filler!" (half year?) (shudders). But seriously compare the last few weeks to older episodes...then weep...then hope for better quality in the future. Well all in all, current Naruto rocks (minus the animation issues), current Bleach sucks. |

| Am i the only one disappointed by the sage mode -.- It was Rasengan spamming before now its Rasen Shuriken and Rasenrengan spamming sepirroth said: The moment when frogs were fighting with Pain , i was like rofllolwtf . They looked like cooking some soup. And that ^ Animation was again quite poor here :S the battle didn't feel epic at all to me and i was waiting for this battle for a long time T_T Ah well...its was a good episode either way. |
| Nice episode, I liked the fights however some parts weren't really well animated. I was hoping for that they make some badass fighting scenes, but they're still lacking~ I hope next episode will be the one I'm looking for~ I mean a bit of Hinata~~ |

| Like others here, I'm quite disappointed with the animation quality during the Pain fight so far. Having read the manga it's basically all about the animation being good when I watch the anime version of Naruto... |
| Well, since I'm not a manga reader, the sight of Naruto acting judiciously and with a plan is astonishing enough for me to not have even noticed the animation. It's gone down since Hidan v. Kakuzu, but it's about the same as it has been for a bit, so that doesn't really bother me. |
| Woah when did Naruto get good again? After a long hiatus maybe I'm getting back into it :o I'm wondering though, if they pull out the metal rods won't the people die? I guess even if that were true it'd be too hard to pull out one of pein's rods but i think if they wanted too the toads could have pulled out the huge rod in the summoned dogs snout. :/ |

| Naruto was really strong this episode! :) However, based on the preview he's back to being wussy again next episode. I wish they'd keep his power level the same. I knew he was going to use a clone for the chakra gathering when they said the look left and right at the same time, that was a neat trick summoning them that way though. It's nice to see Naruto fight smart for once, I hope he still has more tricks up his sleeve. I want MORE!! |

| There was something missing. It felt like they were stalling and the characters moved in slow motion a lot of the time. It didn't give you the feeling of an intense battle. |
| They put more on the toad battle and naruto compare to the manga which is really awesome |

| Really nice to see Naruto doing a bit more strategizing... I can definitely remember a time when he always seem to blindly charge at the enemy all the time. XD Great episode... but I just want to see Pain dead. And the next episode? Um, not promising ("Nine Tails, Captured" or something!?). D: D: |

I'm not sure if it was exploited as much as it should have been, though. Also, I would have liked if Shikamaru and some others could have helped. Naruto may be having trouble, but if he ends up winning by himself I think he will be overpowered. Also, and I may be underestimating Pain, but he himself doesn't seem overly powerful. I think that if the Konoha ninja got together, they could beat him since alot of his tricks are known at this point. As it is Kishimoto is in danger of making all of the Konoha ninja not named Naruto look weak, imo. Not saying this isn't an interesting fight, I'm actually really enjoying it and I like what it has done for Naruto himself, I am just stating my concerns at this point. I could very well be wrong. |

| Well, the other Ninja haven't done much so far and have gotten beat pretty handily. I like to think people like Shikamaru or Kakashi could do something if they knew Pain's strengths and weaknesses but as it is seeing Naruto *possibly* beat all Six Paths of Pain single handily just rubs me the wrong way. What worries me is that the series could go the Dragon Ball route and have Naruto completely leave everyone in the dust. In a series that has, imo, a pretty solid cast of characters, that would be a shame. Now, understand I am leaving Tsunade out of this. Her summo obviously was instrumental in keeping people alive as is the case for medical ninja in general, I guess. Thinking about it, though, maybe Naruto just lucked out in gaining the knowledge everyone else didn't know in their battles. |

| Finally a decent fight scene in Naruto where he actually uses his brains and has a truly formidable opponent. Pain is still going strong. Naruto's shadow clones accumulating the senjutsu chakra was hella smart. |
