| More than duel itself, it was the scene when Cocyutus walked around instead of passing Brain that gave me chills. Music and camera positioning really worked great there too. |
| I'm curious about what the final episode will contain, I guess this episode doesn't have any explanation about the next episode. I hope the last episode will leave a good impression. |

Fair point, I did miss those small details.. I think I just wanted much more of a sword fight than him instantly dying lol. But I guess it's not that kind of anime and the author just wants to instil complete hopelessness to the viewers. RIP Brain.. a pleb to the end lol. |

| RIP Brain Unglaus. Cocytus showed him more respect than expected. Definitely more than someone of his strength could be expected to get considering the opponents strength. Ainz's plan is pretty smart, it'll be great to see it pulled off. It's gonna be hilarious when everyone thinks that they've managed to defeat Ainz in a 1v1. |

There's the movie to look forward to at least! As for another season, IIRC the author wanted to end the story around volumes 18-19 and the novels are currently at Volume 16 while this episode and next week's will adapt the last parts of volume 14... So I think one or two more seasons would be enough to adapt the entire story Really? I never read the novels so I dunno where this current season is based on there. But I feel that after this week's episode, next week's finale wouldn't be the actual finale of the series; I don't like being left on a cliffhanger episode. lol I hope our local theaters release the movie when it comes out, and I'll actually try to watch it (even if I have to go by myself lol). |

| I love how both Brain and Gazef got one shotted. I wish they had more screen time and character development so their death would be even more impactful. |

| What surprised me the most is Renner doing an aoe with a sword swing, probably got some powers from nazarick which isn't unlikely tbh sense she seems to be pretty good terms with them. Kinda wanted to see blue rose fight, but i kinda get why they fleed sense they knew firsthand how it would have ended up. Rip Brain, was one of my favorites among the human cast, but he got a "good" death compared to what rest of human cast usually gets in this show and even got Cocytus respect in the end. Cocytus walking around and freezing everything in his path was pretty badass as well and animation for it looked really clean. |

| Brain was always going to die this way. I’m glad it was to Cocytus, a warrior that shows respect. Walking around to leave the street Brain died to protect was a powerful scene. |

| The adventurers attacking their leader took me off guard, atleast they will survive. I have been in the overlord fandom for too long to be surprised by Brain dying here though, I wonder how I would have reacted to this if I didnt know about it? Just feels vain, might as well have killed him off screen or sent him to some distant land. Im honestly not a fan of Cocytus overblown warrior pride schenanigans. He walked around the street, much wow. In a sense this is a turning point, because so far we spend loads of time to explore characters who ultimately just die anyway. All this time exploring the kingdom, characters like Gazef and Brain, the adventures of Momon etc. We just dont get this anymore. None of the other countries are half as developed story wise, not even the empire. From now on you can tell the author wants to finish the story asap and wont delve too deeply into side quests anymore. Which is a shame, the detail and time spend on less important story arcs by side characters really set this apart, maybe even more so than the villain POV. PS: call it artistic, but this ep really was pretty boring |

| I just wish I could give it more than just 5 stars honestly, every episode it gets even better, and it's not different in this one, mad respect to Cocytus in this one as well. |
