| fuck this episode was awesome! omg! the opening changes were great, i was waiting for the scene with gin's eyes to change, i was not disappointed at all. the first half animation just fucking perfect! i can't believe this every single thing was animated! gintoki killing the new guy in a blink of an eye, then running towards utsuro like crazy, utsuro telling him he'll never get to him (btw what happened when gintoki charged at utsuro and the liberation army started firing? i feel like utsuro was the one actually who kicked gintoki out of the firing zone, maybe there is a bit of shoyo still in him? will this get explained later?), and then gintoki having flash backs of his childhood and shoyo, thinking he never make it, that despair in his eyes when they were surrounded by tanks..just perfect. although i gotta say they had the same situation on rakuyo, and they had no problem cutting tanks with their swords, even their wooden swords there.. so what happened here they got more realistic? lol. and then shinsengumi comes back lol kondo's naked as always :)) the fight scene for sougo and kagura was perfectly animated wow. and they just left nobume there on the ground and charged? :))) come on people be a little more considerate :)) the scene where hijikata and sougo attack the tank and achieve absolutely nothing was hilarious, i thought they were gonna cut down the tank like everybody did back on rakuyo :)) and then yamazaki, omg i bet we all have the same face as gintoki, " who are you, a new character?" and then he talks with his usual voice omg xD also the tank not shooting them down this whole while was shounen as hell but still xD soo glad nobume and soyo hime survived. i was getting ready for tears there. i most add, i love how this arc is progressing fast and slow simultaneously, i didn't think we'll get to shinsengumi return or utsuro this fast, we still have no idea how things will turn out, yet it is not boring at all, a lot is going down. sorachi is not keeping us waiting. i wonder when umibozo and takasugi will appear. doubt it'll be this early though. still getting utsuro and shinsengumi in ep 3 and 4 is awesome. |

| Finally Shinsengumi is back! I was expecting that the princess would die, or get really injured. It was a bit depressing, then Shinsengumi came to the rescue! I love it how Gintama can pack action and comedy so well even in a dead-serious arc like this! It's really well-balanced. Next week Kintoki is back! I don't remember much of his character, though. |

You just have to remember they are saving most of their budget for the bigger fights later on (and then we will see animation genius like we did in the Four Devas Arc or Farewell Shinsengumi). Still, this episode definitely gave us some notable cuts, so it isn't trash. |

| One can count on Kondou to ruin a moment. Seriously, while stripping was borderline acceptable, he only needed to avoid landing on a specific spot. Then again, if Kondou made any more sense, he would be a lot less amusing. I am glad to see that Shinsengumi is back in full force. Yamazaki's transformation into Rambo was a bit unexpected, though. |

| The Shinsengumi are back! Stronger (or weaker) than EVER!!! I was expecting a new badass power from the three, but what I got is even better! Yamazaki's transformation is the best one though. I guess, eating so many anpan can turn you into a buffed guy too huh... Glad that Soyo is safe, more allies are coming, including Kintama (Not that one) |

| So far that was the most funny episode in this series for me. I just loved how they look badass in this new outfit, and as always parodies from other series. Kondou like Piccolo with taking that clothes. And his movies and fight with that cannon - to be honest it's reminds me Ichigo Bankai form and Byakuya fight (mieru, mieru ,mietazo Kuchiki Byakuya! xD). No homo but I must say that Kondou have nice butts. Hijikata and Okita new powers was also impressive - but useless xD. And here the MC of this episode Yamazaki he totally look like Sly from Rambo - I was hoping that he will also speak characteristically like Sly, but unfortunately not. I hope he will look like this to the end xD. |
