"Well this is actually kind of practical" Kensei noted, seeing how the heat had singed Julies boots. It had given him a rather practical idea, the timing couldnt be better.

"Now i dont have to touch it~"
As he said that, Rampage walked lazily over to the edge overlooking the lava. Opening up its grimy interior, the puppet ejected the pilot-compartment into the lava. Kensei always carried spare parts for his puppets anyway, tucked away inside sealing-scrolls. He could replace the pilot-module later, for now Rampage would have to work without a pilot, a feat which during combat demanded that Kensei used his maximum number of Whiptail type strings to support its weight and strength. It wasnt optimal, but as far as backup solutions go it wasnt half-bad he thought, and sealed Rampage back into his scroll before beginning the climb after the others.

Naturally, he let Julie climb last, who was oggled by the golem like a funny creature would be oggled by a curious starving dog. Its behaviour didnt go unnoticed by Kensei, who believed the golem to be attracted to chakra. Julie was the only one who still had all her chakra left, which would explain the look she was getting from the golem below who seemed to have returned and was now waiting at the foot of the ladder in hopes that Julie would fall down. A creepy-looking thing, no doubt.

*A few minutes later*

The climb was relatively uneventful, apart from each having to fight fatigue and heat on their own as they climbed. As they got up, Havoc lifted Fuuka onto his shoulders like a newly felled wild boar. If she was awake, shed find herself in a humiliating but rather comfortable position.

The tunnel stretching into the doorway, away from the lava chamber, was different then the one they had entered in. Here the pipeworks along the walls and roof seemed newer, polished even, and the tunnel-floor had been covered with runic tiles of great craftsmanship. The tunnel seemed to slope slightly upwards, swinging to the left, and as they looked up into the darkness there seemed to be light coming from around the bend as another golem scurried around the corner, this one trying to get away from them.

With potato sack Fuuka safely lugged over his shoulders Havoc follows Kensei through the new tunnel, definitely an improvement over the last.

"It's awfully cool in here for having an entire pit of lava below us."

Havoc glimpses the golem bolting away but unlike the last golem he has no uneasy feeling from this one. Where the other felt like a guard this was more of a scout and a fleet footed one at that. Still it's not as if they had anywhere else to go and so Havoc resolved to follow Kensei even further.

As they rounded the bend following the golem, they were faced with a great gate spanning the width and height of the tunnel. Made of brass and circular in shape, it was like a grand coin shining in the low light from the chamber behind them.

"Would you look at that.." Kensei noted, as he was interrupted by little hatches opening in the tunnel walls behind them.

Out rolled several of these steam golems, basicly just a torso mounted on a brass ball, cutting off their escape. At the same time, either side of the gate opened two hatches of its own to reveal a vast array of kunai mounted in tubes ready to fire in all directions and basicly fill the entire tunnel with steely death.

"Identify" The gate rumbled. The kunai didnt fire, but stayed loaded and ready. Likewise, the golems in the rear hadnt done much after taking up positions either. Havoc and Kensei shared a concerned look, causing the gate to repeat itself.
"Identify"

"Jesus! We come in peace!" Kensei replied hastily as the kunai was pointed in his direction suddenly. The gate seemed to proscess the information before replying.
"Jesus, denied"

Kensei raised an eyebrow, this gate wasnt very clever.
"No i mean.."
"DENIED!" the gate rumbled in return, interrupting him.
"Alright alright its cool..."

The kunai now turned and became fixated on Havoc and Fuuka. Julie was for the moment hiding behind Havoc, and tried to stay out of sight not realizing the golems were staring her down.

Havoc watched as events unfolded, the golems taking position and the kunai machines being primed.

Havoc couldn't help but smirk despite the situation when the door replied to Kensei's fluster.

"Jesus denied"

The smirk was quickly gone from his face as he was posed the same question.

"Identify!"

"uhh Havoc?"

jesus denied... it wasn't his name and havoc isnt mine

"no. wait wait wait... Haval Tsukumiya"

Havoc stresses his name hoping to make it stand out and be the one recognized instead of the alias everyone knows him as, better chance than the name havoc anyway.

There was shouting, and Fuuka was never a heavy sleeper. She slowly awakens to an unusual sight: A large persons back and the floor. However, other than a startled jump, Fuuka didn't seem to react to the position she was in. Her face was burning red though, and it wasn't the heat.

"uhh Havoc? No. wait wait wait... Haval Tsukumiya"

"Both denied!" The gate bellowed as Fuuka managed to climb down from Dumbyface's shoulder.

"Identify!"

"Do you not know who I am? Foolish Automated Entry Apparatus!" Fuuka shouted back at it, pointing at it as only an overlord, a Big Bro type with funky sunglasses, or a royal jackass would. "I am a Weaver! A Shinobi! A seagull enthusiast! I. Am. Fuuka Umiyumi! Also known as President Seagull! ...fear me."

The gate seemed eerily silent. Like it was thinking hard on the information presented to it. The silence was almost pressing, if it wasnt regularly broken by the hiss of steam coming occasionally from behind it.

"Welcome Steven Seagull" The gate suddenly replied happily, and retracted its armaments. After a quick 180 spin so it faced upside down, the gate split apart in a spiraling pattern, revealing what laid beyond.

It was unlike anything they had seen before. The tunnel kept going another 20 meters or so where it opened up in a large chamber with multiple tunnels connected to it from every direction. As they entered, they noted that the very walls very covered with windows and perches.
"Theres people living in these tunnels.." Kensei noted amazed, almost taking to himself as much as the others. "Or, atleast once there was". To his dismay, there were no signs of life anywhere with the exception of what appeared to be robotic footballs rolling around seemingly with a purpose.

The large chamber housing the numerous other tunnel entrances was no exception, its walls were riddled with rooms, chambers and what appeared to be street shops. The roof was literally covered in bundles of brass pipes, some leaking steam from lack of maintenance. As they entered the very center of the large chamber, they became aware that they had been walking across a large crest imrpinted into the floor this entire time since entering the gate. Kensei climbed one of the walls using the numerous perches and windows for footing to get a better look. His eyes widened in shock for a moment, before turning to amazement.

"This.. is a village!" He shouted excitedly. "And we are standing in the town square!"

The crest on the floor was a subterranean chart of the tunnels they had just passed through and were currently standing in, spanning a vast network of tunnels all snaking around the central lava chamber they just left. Around the edges of the crest, the villages name was written in solid gold.

Havoc was impressed by the scope of the village and how focused on progression of technology it appeared to be compared to the other villages he knew and had visited. However one thin seemed more pressing than admiring the decorative paint on the walls so to speak.

"So it's safe then right? Because as amazing as it is I could really use a nap."

Havoc leaned against a building and slid to the ground a loud 'ahhhhhh' sigh escaping his lips. He had been on low or no chakra for some time and it was good to have a rest.

Fuuka seemed unimpressed as she gazed at her surroundings. "Reminds me of my fathers factories..." She commented dryly. "Hot. Stuffy. Golden letters....ok, they didn't have golden letters...but they COULD have!"

Fuuka practically vibrated as she tried to contain her jubilation when she spies Dumbyface about to doze off. She had little time to lose and approached him with her automated spool in view, whispering something into his ear. It was a bold plan, but perhaps they could pull it off if he just had more chakra.

Havoc whispers as Fuuka whispers to him and raises his hand simply staring at his palm.

Crystal threads huh? .... crystal... the manifestation of my connection to the clan

"Maybe..."

It was a reply to Fuuka but also a reply to another thought running through his head as he turns his head to face Kensei.

"Kensei. Do you think it's possible to remove a kekkai genkai?"

"It should be, for now atleast" He noted when the question about safety came up. He wouldve climbed down by now if it wasnt for all the interesting details on the map.

He was mezmerised until Havoc spoke his name again, this time with a question more close to his heart. It took him a few seconds to gather his thoughts enough to reply.

"It should be.." he said, and paused in thought. "Ive been asking myself that question a lot lately. The very reason im out here is becouse i couldnt find the answer in Konohas files, atleast not the ones available to the public. ROOT might know something, but they'll never talk, not even to their own ANBU should i manage to bribe one.." He said, accidently letting his train of thought go to far, revealing that he once considered darker paths to knowledge then the one hes currently on.

"In any case, if that knowledge exist somewhere, its surely not wasted on grunts like us unless we find it for ourselves." He said with determination.

After a moment it looked as if he was staring at Havoc. In reality, he was looking at where Havoc was standing.
"Huh, would you look at that.. hey guys, whats a "Demilitarized zone"? or whatver it says under Havocs foot"

Upon further investigation, Havoc would find himself standing on a rather detailed illustration of the big lava chamber they were just in, along with the text Kensei was pointing to. The zone seemed to cover the entirety of the lava chamber and its surrounding tunnels, with the exception of the one they climbed up and out through. Coincidently, the map also showed that the derpy gate they passed was actually the backdoor to the village. The main gate wasnt placed on the map at all, but rather illustrated on the side of the map in the shape of two golden statues. A man, and a woman, each carrying an enormous boulder on their backs.

At the mention of finding the answer themselves Havoc' mind immediately starts thinking about how to pure his system of his kekkai but his thoughts are quickly interrupted.

"What's a demilitarized zone?"

Havoc looks underneath where he is sitting and moves to the side to get a clearer look examining the map.

"I'd assume its where their army is, well was. Maybe that's what the golem was down there; old military."

Another look on the map gave Kensei a clue as to how they could find out the answer to his question, aswell as more about this seemingly abandoned village. A room, which unlike the maingate were actually marked out on the map, with an emblem of stacked books next to it.

"There, i think thats the village archives or library perhaps. Maybe theres something useful amongst the works there"

He also thought it would be a good place to look for any knowledge of bloodlines, both unknown ones he didnt know about aswell as potential methods of removing one, seeing as Kenseis knowledge was limited to Konohas public records.

"I do too, these people have been crafty"

Seeing Fuukas exhaustion, he noticed his own and realized he should get down while he actually could. A rest would do the all good. Beginning his climb back down, it became clear right away this wouldnt end well, and just a moment later his braced foot slips against the rock.

With a short yelp, he fell the last 5 meters and hit the ground hard. A metallic clink resounded in the chamber, followed by another short yelp in pain.

"Well.." He said through the pain, staring at the broken legbrace and seeing his own leg bent out of shape for the first time since the incident which caused it. The purpose of the brace was to keep his leg straight, keep his two broken bones from grinding against eachother, and redirect all weight on his foot to his thighbone. Now however, it was nether straight nor redirecting all the weight anymore.
"..i guess a pit-stop here wouldnt hurt any of us. The library isnt going anywhere.."

For a moment Kensei couldve sworn he heard the sound of stone sliding against stone somewhere far away, but figured it was just ambient noise from the caverns or shifting stones in the lavachamber below. Taking out his tools, he begun tinkering on the brace to try and find a solution.

Havoc figured Fuuka, Kensei and Julie would be fine by themselves ... together, and so decided to go ahead to the library by himself.

It took him a while but he found his way there to discover it was quite a extensive and rather large library, archives that must contain overwhelming amounts of knowledge and probably a lot of it forgotten by the world above.

Tall shelves with scattered ladders reaching to the ceiling, dust caked over the shelves and books; each footstep sending dust fluttering into the air.

Havoc wondered aimlessly for awhile simply strolling through the isles reading the spines of books and familiarizing himself with the archaic script in which most of the books were written. After a while he decides he should look for the one thing he wants to expand his knowledge on most: Fuinjutsu.

It is not long before Havoc has found a section dedicate to the study of seals, barriers and basically anything fuinjutsu related and buries himself with the shelves. A lot of the information being common knowledge yet still more being completely knew to Havoc. Havoc was determined to find something he could use when it struck him; he should be searching for information on bloodlines, not fuinjutsu. Tucking one fuinjutsu tome under his arm, the arts of sealing jutsu, Havoc took off in search for an area or even just a single tome on bloodlines.

Kensei was too caught in his own minds to notice havoc leaving. He had made some progress with the brace after a few minutes. It wasnt pretty, much of its stronger composite materials that he and Julie developed had been replaced with copper tubing he had salvaged off of the walls and floor of the cavern, but atleast it was straight now and should properly disperse weight, relieving him of pain. His movements was pretty restricted however, as the brace in this state was literally stiff as a pole. It worked, for now, but the material would hardly hold up in a fight or even prolonged use. He would have to stop for a more proper repair at some point on their journey.

He was surprised when he turned to find Havoc gone and Fuuka sound asleep. He took a moment to just look around the central chamber one more time, aswell as study the map. He was fascinated by this place, so much so that he didnt want to leave. And it was here that a thought struck him. One so bold he was surprised he even thought of it.

"Hey hey... thats some dangerous thinking.." He said to himself, so nervous from this idea that he was sweating from the forehead. But as wild and unbound this idea was, and how much he feared the fact that he was the one who thought it, he was smiling.

He had to find Havoc.

However, as he tried to stack himself back on his feet, he knew the exhaustion aswell as the fall had taken its toll. He could only stand leaning against a wall, and it was there he found just how tired he was. He fell forward, but was already leaning against the wall when he did. The result was a gentle slide until he hit the ground with a small thud, no more violent then a gentle nudge, where he fell asleep within seconds. His last thought was that he probably should move so he didnt sleep in such a funny position, but he fell asleep before he could put it into action.

The human mind is a strange thing. It grows accustomed to just about everything, even a predetermined concept of time like night and day. Kensei didnt know, becouse they were underground, but they had fallen asleep roughly around midnight and it was now dawn on the outside. His biological clock had rung, awakening him at a predetermined time without his knowledge.

Fortunately he had rolled over in a more comfortable position during his sleep, saving him from getting up with a stiff neck.

He looked around the chamber after the others. Julie was already awake, staring at the map Kensei had stared at earlyer, trying to memorize every nook and cranny.

Havoc had fallen asleep over some musty old tomes in the library. Waking up he wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth and then off the desk where his head had been laying. Rubbing his eyes he couldn't quite remember what he had been reading as he looked down at the page. Scrawlings in a hard to read handwriting with fuinjutsu seals and diagrams covering the page.

Havoc rubs his eyes some more as if it would make the page any clearer and upon looking at the page again, nothing had changed. This time however Havoc actually closed the book and looked at its title, "The Inner Workings of Bloodlines", and promptly opened it and returned to trying to decipher its contents.

Havoc would soon find his studies interrupted, but not before he had a chance to get aquinted with what he was reading. Something was silently watching him from the shadows, something which had the ability to not move an inch or make the slightest sound. But even so it was there, staring.

It had watched him since he entered the room, and hadnt moved while he slept. But now, something caused it to shift ever so slightly, and that was all it took.

Behind Havoc, a tome fell from one of the topmost shelves, revealing a spider-like golemcreaturething behind it. The tome slammed into the dusty floor, and the golem scurried around the room to a shelf on the other side where it vanished between another set of books. During which Havoc couldve sworn he heard it say something.

________________________________________________________________________

In the central chamber, or as Julie had found it to be in reality, the town square, Kensei remembered his idea from before he passed out and snuck away to take a second look at the gate they passed through.

He hadnt given it much thought when they arrived, but surely this gate had ways to manually operate it. And sure enough, as he approached it from behind he noticed this side of the gate had a control panel with levers connected to the gates interior. A quick lowering of the largest one opened the gate, and as he predicted, moving the lever back up closed the gate.

Next to it however there was a smaller lever with a funny-looking illustration next to it, giving Kensei no doubts about what it controlled. It was a simple drawing of the gate with a mouth, and another with a cross over its mouth.

"A mute lever, brilliant~" Kensei said to himself, and pulled the lever. A series of clicks could be heard from inside the gate, telling him it probably worked. He hypothesized that without its speech ability, the gate wouldnt let anyone else through without someone manually opening it. Step one of Kenseis idea worked without a hitch it seemed, atleast the couldnt be attacked via the rear gate anymore.

Returning to the town square, Kensei barely noticed Julie crouched over Fuuka like a predator before turning in such a way that they both escaped his peripheral view. When he looked back to make sure he saw what he saw, Julie was sitting comfortable in front of the map studying it like before like nothing was out of the ordinary. Kensei chalked it up to his imagination, and headed off to try and find the Main gate.

As he left the room, Julies eyes glinted with mischief~

As the tome slammed to the floor Havoc caught a glimpse of the spider like golem scurrying away. Hurriedly Havoc scribbles several seals copied from the book onto a scroll and shoves it into his pocket before taking off to look for the golem. Soon enough he finds it hiding behind a stack of books. Carefully as if sneaking up on it Havoc reaches up and knocks the pile of books over to scare it out.

"Close, probably trying to satisfy their curiosities about this place." Julie replied, finishing up a scroll on which she had replicated the sigil and map that was hewn into the floor in a portable format, and tucked it away in her satchel.

A few seconds later, the two of them couldve sworn they heard the sound of shifting stone somewhere in the distance, the same one Kensei thought he had heard earlyer only slightly stronger this time. It was enough to make Julie cock her head in an attempt to hear it clearer, but the sound didnt repeat.
"Did you hear something?"

In the archives, the golem burst out from the shelf hitting Havoc square in the face. It wasnt very heavy, but enough to surprise him as the golem tumbled onto the floor and made a combination of steam-hisses and electronic sounds reminiscient of actual language, like a calculator trying to communicate.
"*hiss*Ararararararara!*hiss hiss*"
It quickly recovered and legged it out the door Havoc had entered, heading for the town square or somewhere beyond it. It was surprisingly quick for such a clonky little machine. As it swooped out the door, Havoc couldve sworn something was emitting light ontop of it.

"Ararararara!"

The golem fled as expected into the central chamber, until it came face to face with Julie and Fuuka. It came to a sliding halt, and seemed to look around in a distressed manner for a moment. But as Havoc entered the room behind it, it seemed to just.. shut down.

Julie stared at it with a puzzled look. "Curious thing.." she said, before her eyes changed completely. If Kensei was here, hed know the look as the "i-want-to-dissect-you" look. Unfortunately he wasnt, but he wasnt far~

As Julie approached to get a closer look, the golems speakers came alive.
*radio static* "Ha...c..."

The golem went silent for a few seconds before repeating the ordeal with a clearer signal. To their surprise, Kenseis voice appeared when it cleared up.

*static*"Havoc! Havoc can you hear me!?"

Julie was as surprised as any, and took the liberty of replying for Havoc as he caught up.
"Yes we can, how did you pull this off?"

The reply from Kensei came as if it was the easyest thing in the world.
"I simply found the control room, you wont believe where its at and whats up here! Hold on, lemme show you*static*"

After a few seconds, a tiny beam of light appeared protruding from a device built into the roof. It scanned the map on the floor where they were all standing, and stopped at a chamber almost directly above them. The only way in, was a single staired corridor which conveniently opened up into the map chamber/townsquare.
