Dang... I shouldn't have read the light novels first~!! DX

It totally took out all the excitement and unexpectedness of this otherwise interesting episode...

There were some comedy elements though :)

^that... But what the heck... It's still fun to watch.... SO this is the episode from where everything pick up from... I mean this will finally get interesting.... The Sighs will bring back the whole show had in the past... There's still some stuff that has to be show, but Mi-Mi-Mikuru Beam! and Nagato saving Kyon's butt is one of the best parts of this... Man There were lots of Haruhi moments.... insane and funny Haruhi moment at the same time... Yuki awesomeness.. Tell me... Who wouldn't love that Witch Alien? XD And moments filled with Mikuru's moe-ness.... Shit Asahina was amazingly cute this time :P.... My only complain... WTF with the contact lens!! It was smaller on Koizumi's hand and bigger on Mikuru's eye.... Lol... YAY Churuya... uh no I mean Tsuruya!! XD

Haha, so Mikuku Beam was an actual beam? Everyone's reactions were priceless, especially Koizumi's. That shocked expression looks good on him.

"It seems I unexpectedly fired an optical weapon..." LMAO what an understatement.

It sucks to be Kyon, that's twice he almost died in the series. Soon he'll be uninsurable!
Love it though, that mi-mi-mikuru beam, now that's a weapon of mass moe-ness. :)

Oh but don't worry, Haruhi's a god, she'd probably go "He isn't dead!" and *poof* he's alive : O (In case he'd actually die : p)

2nd best episode so far (haha). That being said this is nowhere near the level of season 1.

But this episode was ok. The laser scene was good and Yuki awesomeness with talks is always great. Again there were also nice little details regarding 00 provided.

But I am getting kind of annoyed about Haruhi x Asahina relations and Haruhi going nuts. For the last 3 episodes it's always the same pattern. Not that this isn't believeable, but it's rather uninteresting to get this shown over and over again.

Having not read the light novels, the Mikuru Beam thing came out of no where. I thought that bit in season one was just VFX, but...damn, lol.

I really hope more stuff like this happens! Needs more of the supporting characters, too. Tsuruya, Taniguchi and Kunikida all need more screen time!!

Still as well directed as ever, but the rythm was quite off (not that it's the first time in a Haruhi episode) and I can't but be surprised by the absolute mediocrity and "out of place feeling" of the BGM. Still a very good ep.

So that's why Yuki jumped on Mikuru in the movie. That was the only thing that I didn't really understand from the movie. I thought it was funny just didn't know what it was about.

About the episode though, it was enjoyable. Nice to have some supernatural, which I'll say we haven't really gotten since the third episode. I laugh and enjoy Haruhi, but it just seems to crazy impossible to keep up with her. So again, I enjoyed Kyon running around and trying to keep up with her.

It was an alright episode. The whole Mikuru Beam bit was awesome, but the pacing is really putting me off.

All these Sigh episodes could have been done in one or two episodes. The majority of scenes aren't needed. I dunno, it feels like K-ON has infected the new Haruhi episodes.

I guess KyoAni is losing its touch.

Anyhow, an okay episode. The weirdest thing is about Yuki: if she's just an observer and isn't allowed to do anything else unless expected, how come she protected Kyon from the Mikuru beam?

Hmm, you gotta point. She saved him even though she's meant to observe only. That's a bit strange.

It's awesome, you finally get new content, and yet people still bitch and complain. If Kyoani did breeze through Sighs, I bet you'd bitch about that too. I'm enjoying it, and I don't see how the hell you could compare this to K-ON, except for the character designs.

As for this, it was fairly obvious in the first season that, if Kyon should die, then there would be no telling how Haruhi would react. But, i'm fairly certain the consequences would be dire. Because of this, Yuki protects him. It would be difficult to observe, for example, if Haruhi destroyed the world.

She also said in the first season that she has a personal desire for him to return (from the closed space he was in with Haruhi).

I feel like the animation has gone back the way it was. I'm pleased. This was the first time during this season's run that I felt, 'ah, this is what I adore about the series'. Before I felt rather indifferent whilst watching. Felt absolutely nothing. All the negativity being pushed about Endless Eight certainly didn't help. Now that Haruhi has gone back to being the way it was, I'm relieved. I was worried how long this indifference would last, and it finally ended with this episode. There was awkward animation at times, especially when there wasn't any particular focus. Poor Itsuki, I caught that twitch. He must have been rather conflicted. Having trouble learning his lines for the Tom Stoppard play, and having to play some magical schoolboy (which, isn't that far from the truth) in Haruhi's 'movie'. And then getting more screen time on top of that, whilst trying to please Haruhi. The poor guy. Finally, Sighs is starting to get interesting. I was waiting for that moment, when Haruhi's thoughts became reality. And it wasn't a disappointment. When Mikuru actually shot that beam, I could feel the tension. Everyone felt the tension... bar Haruhi, of course. From what I can remember, Mikuru's "Mi... mi... Mikuru beaaam!" was said differently in Episode 00. It originally sounded more desperate. Ouch, poor Yuki's hand. That certainly looked painful. It's nice to hear Yuki's theme being played again. The animation when Kyon did the 'facepalm' looked pretty good. I like the song that played after Haruhi left the station, the rather shrill one. Also liked the song when Mikuru was telling Kyon about Yuki biting her.

im kinda disappointed at the pacing of the episodes.
sighs really could have been done in 1-2 episodes.
sighs first ep could easily have been announcing the movie, buying materials, and beginning of filming. there was lots of unneeded stuff, such as the time between when kyon entered teh clubroom and when haruhi announced the movie
sighs second ep could have easily been the rest of filming. maybe its ok to make a third ep if they wanted to put more emphasis on the mikuru beam incident.
i guess tehy are stretching it out since sighs is designed to be 5 episodes.
haruhi s2 couldve been much better without EE, which shoulve been 3 eps.
if EE was 3 eps, and sighs was 3 eps, then that would leave 7eps for disappearnce.

They need to work harder than this. They are literally adapting the LN page by page, which is not necessarily a good idea after the Endless Eight fiasco....
