| Takamura was a bit of an ass this episode. Not sure if that headbutt was really accidental or on purpose, wouldn't be surprised if it was though since he was really pissed off. Atlove said: Kurokokoy said: takamura busted up that arrogant champ Can you really accuse Eagle of being arrogant, though? Literally the only reason this fight happened at all was because he respected Takamura's strength. I think the reason he does things like not focus on the cut as any professional would stems from his monologue near the beginning. He's never had a rival who would force him to give 100 percent, and a doctor stop would deny him the chance to do it. ^This. He wasn't being arrogant, just didn't want the best fight of his life to end by a crappy doctor stoppage. |

| "Jesus!" Hahaha. I love how awesome Takamura's fights are, and I really appreciate the psychological side that Eagle brings into this one. I don't really get the booing about taking advantage of the cut. I would be doing the same thing Takamura's doing if I'm the one who caused the cut. And the OST usage was pretty damn good too. This match has been great :D |
| Fight is still consistently great. I agree it isn't nearly as good as the Hawk fight, but that's not saying much considering that's literally one of the best anime fights of all time. Anyway, looks like the next ep will be the end of it. So far, I'd say this fight is about on the same level as Miyata's fight against the Australian guy. It doesn't have the emotional buildup or extremely intense moments like Kimura Vs Mashiba or Date Vs Martinez, but it's just really entertaining and fun to watch, with two guy's fighting fairly evenly and analyzing their opponents. |

| See, this is a much better lesson they are teaching! Going for the weak spot might seem like a dick move at first, but it is totally valid and shows determination to win. I hated how they justified actual cheating with two prior fights, but they got it right in this fight (as well as with weird murder steak dude). I quite like this match, it's interesting! And Eagle really is like Ippo in a way... which might be his downfall. Since Ippo has plot armor, but this guy doesn't. :P I laughed at the "Jesus" part. It wasn't even bad Engrish or anything, but it kind off took me off guard. |

That's why they're so similar xD Takamura "hate" Ippo's guts apparently Don't worry guys if he's injured he can heal himself.. oh wait that's different anime :P |

| Don't tell me that I was the only one who noticed that one shot of the 3D CG audience lmaooooo It's impressive to see that, despite his short temper, nearly every move of Takamura has a hint of strategy in it even if he says otherwise. I'm certain that the way his instincts lead him to making the most clever of fighting tactics was essentially the fruit of his training and experiences both in the ring and out of it. |
