| We get to see some past scenes of Goblin Slayer. We get to learn more about his character too. Liked Cow Girl so far. I see improvements this week. Visuals are not that good though. Liked the ending theme song. |

In this second episode they could have shown the raping and killing of an all female party (a day or more before the arrive of Goblin Slayer and Priestess) that attacked the old elven fortress occupied by the goblins. A young female elf archer has been tied to a pole naked and riddled by arrows, another elf (probably an high elf mage) is burn at the stake, the female human warrior is raped and another human girl mage is probably eaten. They avoided to show all this, and there are very few scenes of this kind along the way so I think in the anime the violence has been toned down a lot. The violent scenes have a reason anyway, they fuel the hate toward the goblins and help to understand what drives Goblin Slayer in his crusade against them. |
| Seems like rather few people know about goblin categories in GS world and think it is just a little goblin in a cave. Well you have the starter goblin that is easy to kill for a Porcelain rank, hobgoblins and spell casting goblins that are 3 ranks above or higher classified as wanderers , and then you have the extremely rare goblin lords and champions that are classified as Platinum rank of monsters. Goblin champions are as strong as ogres that can easily one shot you. Most of the rookies in the show get burned on not knowing what type of gobs they will encounter in their quests, thinking that is just a few porcelain rank gobs. |
| One of the unique opening song I've ever heard. That aside, GS is starting to get more paced. Hope we'll see some action soon. |
| A wildly different approach taken with this episode compared to the first, focusing more on Goblin Slayer's backstory and how others perceive him: from the derision of his fellow Silver-rank adventurers, to the admiration of his childhood friend at the farm, to the wariness of her uncle and then to the respect of the woman at the Guild (and Priestess to a degree too, even if she objects to some of his methods), all of that really helps to build a picture of who this character is, outside of just being a one-dimensional goblin-killing machine. |

| Just christ this show is so fucking boring. I'm dropping this shit. First episode was just a torture porn edgefest and this one was.... well, boring. The fact that they had to jam fan-service in for the redheaded girl just cements the fact that there's nothing enjoyable to watch here, so titties are used as a distraction to that fact. Goblin Slayer is supposed to be campy lulz, not the next Berserk, these episodes have been absolutely tone-deaf. Couldn't even make it to episode 3, smh. |

Anyway, that chick from the guild confirmed that there have been reports of goblins kidnapping and raping women now my understanding of that is that goblins didn't used to do that and the first case was probably around when Goblin Slayer's family was raped and killed in front of him. Whichever is the case I just want to know why these green pests started raping women lol I just don't think it's in their nature. Also, if goblins raze villages, kills and rapes everyone shouldn't they be on a higher scale of danger for everyone? Stop letting newbies handle them tf. If goblins are capable of doing these atrocities imagine what a dragon could do. So there's that. Also, Goblin Slayer's childhood friend will be raped and killed too. I just fucking know it. |

Cow/Tits girl feels a little out of place in this series but who knows? I haven't read the manga yet so I could be severely wrong. I was waiting for the green-haired elf archer and she finally made her appearance in this episode! I'm so happy! She looks badass. Nice to see Goblin Slayer's background but I cheated and read it on Wikipedia beforehand. Hopefully, I can start and catch up on the manga before the third episode is released. Not experience points, just "gain experience" so literal experience or reputation if you want to call it that. At least that's what he said in the subtitles that I saw. |

| So this episode we saw something about Goblin Slayer backstory, he really had a sad past, of course he dedicated his life for killing that little monsters! He is doing a necessary killing golblins, sad that no one recognize that! Onna had learned a lot about goblins, and she got a new power! Is really awesome how Onna get sensed about killing them how Goblin Slayer does! His childhood friend is really pretty and hot! |

Goblins usually attack small villages that don't have enough funds to hire high-level adventurers, you even saw it yourself in this episode. So, the only ones that are left are the low-level adventurers. |

| really nice episode, got introduced to the childhood friend was nice and why he is a goblin slayer. People should not watch it if they don't like it as they said in the first episode. |

| Havent watched the episode yet, but wanted to give a quick shoutout for the new Mili song: Very different than a lot of Mili's prior work, so if there's one positive I can give Goblin Slayer, it's that it prompted Mili to explore some new ideas. |

In the novel - I am told - that flashback did not go in depth, unlike the manga adaptation. |

| I'm happy cowgirl at least knows who he is, so we won't needlessly spent at least four episodes at her discovering that fact. GS apparently having guildgirl's favour is a nice touch too. In my opinion, the only thing that doesn't fit, is the position of Goblins in the world. It's made to seem that they are responsible for more casualties than say Trolls or Dragons. Those casualties may be rookie adventurers, but still. Then most experienced adventurers tend to avoid Goblin slaying quest, and it is implied not just because of the low amount of coin gain. They also attack villages relatively frequently, while at the same time the world seems to be relatively safe otherwise. Their swarm like numbers, fast reproduction rate, agressiveness and violence, especially towards civilians, and relative intelligence compared to that of other monsters, should make them the world's top tier thread by far. Yeah, the biatch could have at least given him a straw. Tennouji said: I feel I'm not satisfied with Goblin Slayer's back story. Maybe we'll learn more about him in the future? Have you ever read the backstory of the original 1995 DOOM sarge (yes "read" because it was only provided through the glorious paper manual that came with a boxed copy), or of B.J. Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein 3D? Heck, even Master Chief only really got his own backstory later on. That's the level this anime is on, and that's evidently the level it's supposed to be on! Complaining otherwise is like stating the fish and chips place on the corner does not produce Michelin quality dishes. You're not wrong, but you are kinda missing the point. |

Just like we have rats in real life, but not many people dedicate to killing just rats. Also the Guild acts like mercenaries. Most adventures don't give a damn about what the villagers think, but how much they pay & Goblin Slaying pays little. |

While not slaying goblins, meeting childhood friend and explaining rules to priest girl, he seems a little bit less... like a robot. I don't like the generic character designs for the others tho and even the names... yes, I read the explanation why. Still don't like it. "They are flat on purpose." But they still ARE?  Yes. But if real life rats would kill villagers and rape girls, more people would kill rats. I guess the plothole comes down to this: 1. Nobody slays goblins because it doesn't pay enough and it doesn't make you as famous as killing a dragon. 2. GS only kills goblins. 3. In this episode it is shown that GS is both wealthy enough to impress an average villager and famous enough that a bard a few towns away is singing songs about him with townsfolk gathering to listen. |
