Ok, I'm not asking how the MC, Toyohisa, survived being impaled by the enemy several times. Of course, it this just the beginning of the first episode, I can take it that I don't understand things this early.

  • The art style used is curious. It goes for the simplicity of some scenes but at the same exaggerating the suspense and making more drama out of them. High contrast of blacks and shadows but not saturated colors. It has this antique air.

  • Oh yeah, Toyohisa died, or something. Take a glimpse of what may be happening with that white hallway and the guy with weird eyes in the desk by looking how the "next" is some kind of soldier from a distant future, presumably died or about to in action.

  • Oh sure, it is Oda Nobunaga... it's ALWAYS Oda Nobunaga, I mean... It's HIM... jajaja.

  • The change of suspense, so edgy and epic that you can cut yourself to humor made me chuckle, for real xD
Why do their eyes glow so much anyway? jajaja.

  • So, Yoichi is a trap. Yeah... this anime could not save from having one of those too, eh? xD

To summarize: I think it's a good anime. It succeeded at keeping my attention without needing a slow or fast pace. It was just. Judging just the first episode, it doesn't seem to be something epic or risky but they story could show their colors as the episodes are released. Yeah, I liked it.

Wow that was really awesome, the fighting was great, the gory action was there and even Hirano's classical humor, just like in Hellsing. Man this was a great ep.

Oh Boy I am liking the humor in this though they can do it less exaggerated to go well with the gore theme.

I'm liking this series a lot. I'm learning a little bit about some important people in Japanese history and I google about them when I hear a new name. Nasu no Yoichi is such a trap here although he must've been masculine in reality, at least he did in traditional paintings.

I'm okay with the comedy, it's not like you can remove it. It's already there. They're probably trying to lighten things up since it's bloody and stuff. They're trying to appeal to a wider audience.

Toyohisa looks like Alucard.

As expected from a historical genre. I'm sure I would've enjoyed it more if I know the history of these people. The art is bearable for me. Would try to see whether I can enjoy it even if I have no idea of their history. Although the way they portray Oda Nobunaga comes as a surprise for me after watching other animes that mention/has him in it.

Pretty cool animation style and action so far. I'm really interested to see where this whole "Drifting" thing is about! :O I feel like I'd understand it more if I knew the historical characters but it was still pretty interesting. Looks like it's a bunch of famous warriors from various time periods. ED wasn't bad either, but I didn't really love it :P The seiyuus all sounded familiar but I actually only recognize Yuiichi Nakamura (the MC) and it seems like even then I couldn't place his other characters ... I guess my mind was fooling me when I thought of Arata from Chihayafuru XD Must've been the accent LOL. Anyway, guess we have some people who know what's going on (eavesdropping at the end of the episode there). Anyway, I don't really know what to expect from this series so hoping the next couple of episodes are good too :O

Why did they run when MC shot the enemy lord? I mean, they wanted to protect the lord's life at all cost yet they did nothing to avenge him? The MC was pierced with a lot of spears and can barely stand at that point but their first reaction was to run in fear? Jesus. This anime already looks dumb to me. Based from this alone I bet MC has a dumb plot armor thicker than the Trump wall.

"You're not Nobunaga, Nobunaga is dead long time ago"
"This must be the underworld then"
*still attacks Nobunaga*
-same guy

If he knew that it was the underworld, then why would he say that the guy is not Nobunaga because Nobunaga is dead long time ago? And really? An Impostor Nobunaga? WTF? Not only the writers are dumb but the MC as well. This is why I hate action-oriented animes. Im gonna stick to thrillers and horrors.

I think I'll drop this anime. I love the look of the characters but I don't have the historical knowledge to understand their origins so they just seem kinda flat personality wise. The comedy is also really off putting.

First episode looked pretty good. Animation style even if it's way different from normal anime is nice. I also really liked the fight scenes and the concept overall. I got about what the plot was at the beginning.

That ended when Toyohisa wanted to go back home and was suddenly standing in this super long hallway with all the doors at the sides. I mean what the fuck was that? And who was this guy with the glasses who sent Toyohisa into another dimension I guess?

Anyway these 2 blonde guys with the long ears, which art of language was that? I liked the first clash of Nobunaga and Toyohisa, that was super funny to see. "Nobunaga is dead, you can't be him" :D

Noticeable in this episode was that they're definitely in another timeline. Also the time seems to way slower there as in their normal world, otherwise they couldn't have meet each other. Suketaka for example must be over 400 years old. And they were called Drifters. All these thing don't make sense but I hope they will get explained over the next couple episodes.

Looking forward to see how this will go on.

a) really stupid
b) really awesome

The design and action was really reminiscent of Hellsing Ultimate so no wonder I fell in love with it at first sight~ Those distinct character designs were just lovely~ Especially that cute ninja who can barely speak Elvish... More guys should look like that '///^///'

The comedy was kind of a hit or miss since I didn't get a lot of the old samurai references but them laughing at Toyohisa for hailing from a county region lol I'm sure I'll get used to it and like it though.

*Plucks birds with Nobunaga the fool*

Gotta say i looked at this show because it was a suggestion from a friends, The Art style was absolutely amazing. I love the sorta mangaish look it has. And the suttle music only enhanced my interest in it. I like the humor of it also Definatly will finish this one.
