| Thorfinn's reached the lowest point of his life in a very long time because of getting a severe tongue-lashing from Askeladd right after getting his ass handed to him. It's a good thing that Leif's brought some hope to the boy by reminding him of his long lost childhood dream. He better finish his business here before going on a vacation to Vinland though. Askeladd struggling to come up of a plan to prevent Sweyn from invading Wales was a very intriguing scene. I'm very excited on seeing everyone put their heads together to save the Welsh from burning. |

| Thorfinn is in a pretty miserable state, hopefully Leif's encouragement sparks some new hope in him. |

| The tension is on and Thorfinn is kinda beaten up but he still has the will to fight Seems that Askeladd has a perfect plan in his hands at the moment until the king mentioned Wales and left Askeladd in shock, Thorfinn isn't in a good state and he's pretty much in a miserable state although there's Leif to cheer him up and remind him of Vinland So Wales is Askeladd's hometown so that explains why he was in shock in the first place I wonder what's going on in Wales to make him feel distraught. |

| Luck is not in Askeladd’s side and naw Floki and the king know Wales is somehow a weakness to Askeladd but there is a solution all they have to do is to get the people of Wales to accept the kings terms and join him and basically play along until Canute becomes king and fixes everything |

| IF there is 1 quote that fits perfectly for Askeladd's dilemma in this ep it's... "Prepare for unforeseen consequences" The choice to invade Wales was entirely coincidental, that's already a problem s it is, but now that Floki and Sweyn are aware of Askeladd's reaction upon mentioning Wales, the tide of the war is not entirely on Askeladd's hand anymore. Nice quirky visuals of him racking up his mind there. I thought his brain is about to explode. Even battered and bruised, Thorfinn is not to be taken lightly, but damn if he isn't on his all-time low right now, it's great that Leif is around to sorta convince and console him to return home and abandon the battlefield. |

| This might actually be the turning point for Thorfinn that he needed for so long, Askeladd and the King is gonna be a very interesting scenario next episode |
| amazing episode. and while the next episode is the last, i seem not to predict even one bit what's going to happen. hope though luck will be in asekludd side... thorfin's scenes were well too, makes me hope for more development for him. though i like askeludd more lol |

| This really does feel like it's ending and beginning at the same time. Thorfinn wants to go to Vinland and Askeladd wants to protect his mother's homeland. This is gonna be interesting to see how they'll do it. |

| Leif T_T... Idk why he gives me Uncle Iroh (from Avatar) vibes. Freakin' teared up. Thorfinn is in a lot of pain trying to figure out what is the best thing to do right now. This is a good episode! One more to go. |

| Damn the king wants to attack Wales in spring? Coincidence or not, what an unexpected move. Askeladd losing his poker face and Floki noticing it, was the worst what could've happened in that moment. Still interesting to hear the inner monologue of Askeladd to find any way to prevent this from happening. And you can bet he won't keep quiet until he found something. Funny to hear how Thorkell just casually mentioned the connection between Askeladd and Wales. But from previous episode we already know that he isn't only a big muscle guy. It seem Leif was finally able to get more through Thorfinn and maybe gave him a new purpose. But that will be decided by Thorfinn himself. I'm curious what the king is about to say towards Askeladd. Does he just want to reward him or is this about something more? Anyway, crazy to think this will be the last episode. I'm that the new season will air at the beginning of next year. Anyways let's see how they wrap things up. |

| I really liked the animation at the beggining, when Thorfinn took down the three guys. It flowed really well, which is in direct contrast to the scene that I had the most problems with in the show as of yet, being berzerk Bjorn walking towards Canute. Anyways, nice episode. Being an anime only, I did find the scene with Leif to be nice, more so for how it characterizes him, than for how it impacts Thorfinn. It is something that could derail the emotional climaxes of the story though, so I get why people are worried. |

| Askeladd’s reaction to Wales was great, but a little out of character for him! He just gave it away that he has a connection to it. Holy hell man, Thorfinn and the old man’s conversation is so sad. I doubt we will see it, but I really want to see Thorfinn go home and see his mother and sister’s reaction. |

| This is the first time I saw Askeladd panic this much. If this is based on history, Sweyn will die by the next month. He would rule the North Sea Empire for only five weeks. The official cause of death is unknown, and there are rumors of assassination, but no one knows what really happened. I'm sure the show will go for an assassination. I wonder how they can pull it off. Vinland, at this point, is deserted. I believe it was abandoned before 1010. If the show does not follow history, I wonder what Leif and Thorfinn will do there. The next recorded Viking expedition to Vinland is set 100 years later. |
