| Sometimes its hard to believe physically larger opponents actually weigh less. Finally wide screen Hajime no Ippo. Still mostly the same artstyle. |

| Good start. Miyata's fight gon be interesting, even tho i feel like he gon lose. and then that guy will fight Ippo or something like that. i dunno why they keep stalling the Ippo VS Miyata fight. I WANT IT NOW DAMMIT. |
| Great first ep to start the new season. I see Ippo/Miyata has been ramped up. This fight should be good. It's been a while since we've seen Miyata fight, so I'm really looking forward to it. Would have liked to see more development from the opponent though. Literally all I know is that this Arnie guy looks like a complete pretty boy douche. |

| Wanpo is not that big, pretty sure wanpo is just small dog in Kimura vs. Mashiba First thing came in my mind is Kumi's voice just disappointed me I'm used to high-pitched cute voice not low-pitched sexy..ish Sorry I don't like it, it's not the seiyuu.. but more like why change the voice that already in set :( His attitude.. Ippo is definitely in love with Miyata xD Even Takamura is scared! I-I-IS THAT KIRYU'S VOICE? Dragon of Dojima? RIP Miyata xD |

| Let's go! I'm happy for the animation upgrade, hopefully this season is as good as the first 75 episodes. Did Kumi's VA change? She sounds a bit less shy and more womanly. |
| Given how phenomenal the first season was, i'm very surprised it took them 9 years to come back to a sequel. The animation is much improved but i have to say, i prefer the art style of the original, the lines seem a bit too thin in this version so expressions are not as pronounced, also they seem to have not gotten back Kumi's seiyuu, i suppose its understandable to not get someone back on board after so many years to another project, just hope she didn't die or anything. |

| Like how crisp and smooth New Challenger is looking, but ain't got nothing on the charm of the 00 version. And Kumi's older voice was also definitely more to my liking. Still gonna be an awesome season with some of the greatest fights. |

| It's been a very long time since we were able to see Miyata on the ring so I hope that he'll be able to bag a victory so he can finally catch up with Ippo in terms of achievements. Bloody Cross sounds like what would happen to Miyata if he tries a Counter on Crocodile... |

| first episode of this series was kinda horrible for marathon watchers, like me, they just went and made lot of introductions that we know already, but in the second half it got improved so.. really loved though they continued it from the first movie point, which connects it fine to the new series. but the OVA didn't seems to connect much, it's just seems that miyata and kimura are sparring buddies, when it have more ground in the OVA. didn't like kumi new sayu, and she looks more ugly than she was in the first series >< i mean, in the movie she looked much better and it seemed rewind. hope to get use the animation though, i got used too much for 1st series animation. so we start the series with miyata, really wants miyata to win, but it seems he have some problems with that for his obsession to ippo. too bad they went back to ippo's "weapon" jokes, it was funny at first, but they shouldn't had done it in the ending lol. really love the opening, and ending nice too, though i find 1st series endings much better. |

| I really love the new face paint, I couldn't ask for more even if it was released in current year. And the OP, boy is it the best one yet. Every second of this episode felt so good it felt like watching a Special in the cinema. The only thing bothering me is that is feels like Miyata is going to job again. Can we have an outboxer that isn't friggin Mashiba be successful? |
