The fight animation was good, naofumi got the money he wanted to save the demi-humans. Enjoyed this underground fight arc even though it was short.

Well, well, well, this plan seems to be going well so far and as a result Naofumi is making BANK from what it seems.

I wonder what the paper currency is and how it relates to Silvers, Golds, Coppers, etc. Or is it a different currency for Zeltoble specifically (that’s probably it). For those who look at anime news on Crunchyroll, you already knew of Nadia’s existence. I didn’t know that she was a demi human and that she is from the same village as Raphtalia and that her real name is Sadeena. Interesting stuff. I applaud her for immediately throwing the match to help Naofumi’s cause and I wonder how she found out about Naofumi’s goals ahead of time.

Either way, who is this dark clown and who are Fohl and Atla? It seems that something ominous is coming Naofumi’s way and he needs to prepare for it…

Raphtalia and Sadina already knowing each other feels a bit contrived but I guess there was no other way for Naofumi and pals to get out of this mess without making Sadina a straight-up villainess or even a sympathetic antagonist.

Anyway, this show is playing its cards right with its back-to-basics approach. It's only been two episodes but I've been having more fun with this season than I had with season 2. It's too soon to tell whether Rising of the Shield Hero has truly climbed out of the pit left by season 2 but for, now, I remain cautiously optimistic.

I feel like the fight was fine and all and the animation definitely went crazy but I'd have preferred it had better choreography and direction so as to make things clear and a lot more smoother. Hopefully this was a one time thing and does become recurring.
