| they haven't fixed that animation flaw yet when someone is shown in front of the net. it really looks awful. even yamaguchi got two episodes already focusing on him. maybe the writer doesn't like nishinoya that much :( heading towards the final set against seijoh now (y). |

| I'm proud of Yamaguchi. I felt like he was always hiding in Tsukishima's shadow but loves volleyball more than Kei. I love Tsukishima, aside from Hinata, he's my other favorite character. I hope that he gets a lot of opportunities to play volleyball. |

| Rewatching this before the third season has been such an amazing choice. When this aired I said this might be one of my favorite episodes of anime and it still holds true for me. Yamaguchi kicking ass still got to me haha. |

Same here, I thought "is that guy still protecting his head!" Oikawa's serves are pretty beast though. Mad-Dog needs to be shut down for the final set! Really happy that Yamaguchi got to score so much! I fist pumped a few times throughout the last few eps, aha. |

| There was no one more deserving of that spotlight tho. Poor Yams has been practising that Jump float serve for nearly half a year, so I nearly cried when he raked up them points ;_; Loved Oikawa's fangirls cheering for Yamaguchi too! This game is fittingly the most intense yet. I knew the minute Oikawa's serve was up that Seijoh were gonna take the set. +1 for Tsukki covering his head. He had faith in Yamaguchi from the start. Bromance goals for sure. This final set is gonna be rough! |

| Gahhhh, this match is so intense!!! Yamaguchi totally rocked! It would've been so cool if he'd gotten match point. Somehow this one episode almost felt like an entire match. Rooting for Karasuno to take the win next set! |
| I was leaking tears from my eyes out of happiness for the majority of this ep.... Yamaguchi got a chance to take back his failure from last time, coming from 5 months of training non stop like Tsukki adorably mentioned(I love nice Tsukki), and overcoming failure, he was stronger than ever. He did so good. You could see the same intensity in his eyes as you can see in Oikawa's eyes and that's insane. He even changed Seijoh fan girls into Karasuno fan girls. :D I couldn't help but shout one more with the rest of the team every point. He even got to mirror back when his legs froze up in their last match and he kept the ball in game with his body this time. That body receive led to a freaking amazing point too when accumulated with Tsukki, who was playing more serious than he's ever played before just look at his eyes as he tracks the ball, did a wipe off Yamaguchi's play!!! It was poetic, Yamaguchi and Tsukki scoring together. I was sure they were going to take the set when the music came in and Daichi claimed they couldn't let the chance Yamaguchi gave them go to waste, but then Seijoh started to talk about how they couldn't have their final match as third years go out like this and I doubted, just in time for Oikawa to come in and destroy nearly as hard as Yamaguchi did. Tanaka and Noya giving Yamaguchi moral support to stay positive was brilliant. Just like Ukai phrased it, this was their first practice match, their first big failure, and now the revenge that's even foreshadowed in the ED is taking place. All I can say is if they win how the heck will they go on to play another match after such a match goes by?! This one has been set up as the big bad and Karasuno is putting their all in it. Maybe they'll do a good job but end up coming short against the final team? It's just narratively perplexing and it's got me interested. |

| these episodes against seijoh are great!! was really happy to finally see yamaguchi shine after so long — that was super satisfying! i was sure karasuno was going to win in the second set but unexpectedly, the match is being taken to the third set. hoping to see how karasuno deal with oikawa's serves & mad dog's spikes :) |

| Mad Dog is shaping up to be a real problem for Karasuno to deal with. They don't know what to do with his sharp cross shots. It's kinda obvious they shouldn't try to block him from that sharp an angle, just set up for a receive. Tadashi really came through this time around! He was able to tie the score with that big of point gap! So happy for him being able to come this far! I was so engrossed in this match, having it in my head that it was the be all, end all set, I forgot it was only the second set. It's down to the third set once again. I don't know why Nekoma is still considered Karasuno's official rivals when Aoba Johsai are far more formidable opponents. Go, go, Fly high, We're the masters of the sky! Karasunoooo FIGHT!! Clinch that third set! |

I can't even begin to describe the various emotions I felt when Tadashi finally landed that jump float serve and the OST along with that flash back to the game in S1 where he had faltered, somebody stop these tears😭😭🤧! So happy for mah boi Tadashi, he surely has become one of my fav characters in all of the animes I have watched until now😍 P.s- Hype is real for the next episode, please let Karasuno win this time..🥺 |

| Yamaguchi! He has come so far. And Tsukki being nice was a good change lol. And Oikawa there destroying Yamaguchi's hard work with Seijoh winning the set... I thought Karasuno was going to win this set but I am glad they didn't. We get to watch one more set :) Really excited for the third set! |

| and so it been long time since i watched it lol kinda have huge break from anime at all, but now i want to finish this. so i had to rewatch this seiju match from start to actually remember. unfortunately though, i didn't remember much what was with yamaguchi, and yet, his development here was great. truly as i remembered it, haikyuu is strong in it's character development. and that was great. and honestly, while i cheered yamaguchi to maybe win the set, from some reason i didn't wanted him too. lol why is that? because i felt hinata didn't had enough "show time" in this match. and also, haikyuu without tense results isn't haikyuu. lol never the less, while it was expected result for them to continue to the final set, i think it is indeed one of the intense match of this series yet. can't wait to see how this is gonna end. |
