Sweet. I was worried that they wouldn't do that, but I guess even they couldn't handle a full episode of Engrish.

This episode made me shed buckets of tears. Tears of sadness because it it was really bawwwwww, and tears of joy because it wasn't in Engrish. My ears will be thankful for the producer's forever.

I loved how Arthur shows more concern over Alfred's eating habit, than in the comic. He's so cute <3

Awww this episode was so very cute, and yet so sad. Those flashbacks were one of the cutest things in the world. <3 And Alfred worring about his weight, it was priceless! XD (Arthur was concerned about him, so adorable)

I really want to cry to the next one, 'cause this one was not enought for me. I can't wait till next Monday. ><

It's sweet to see the flashbacks about England and America. Can't wait for next week's part on the storage cleaning.

On another note, France's diet is so explicit that it can't be shown on TV. Lol!!

I was asking the same thing, but it seemed they went more historical and there seems to be some heavy weight between England and America, so the episode lacked any of the funny punchlines and gags.

It sort of ended on a melancholy note though, what with the scratch on the gun. The revolutionary war is the only real war we've seen in the anime so far. They skirted around WW 1 and 2.

NO ENGRISH! *tears of ecstasy*

I loved the Storage cleaning part. And yes, the episode wasn't humorous, but some of Hetalia's best moments aren't.

Can't wait for the rest. :)

I... I miss the Engrish! ;_;

It was definitely a more serious episode, though my immediate reaction when he asked France for diet tips was to laugh since my mother once ordered and ate some French dirt that was supposed to help you lose weight.

Next episode come quickly, please?

I'm so pleased that America's cleaning out the storage wasn't done in "English".
I was really worried that I'd have to mute it or something to watch it just so it wouldn't be completely ruined for me.
My one complaint is that they didn't cut out the America weight gain stuff and just have the American Revolution stuff all in one episode.
Since the nature of that strip is more dramatic than a lot of the rest of the series, I feel like having the random comedic bit in there took away a bit from the tone of the rest of the episode.
And having to wait another week to see the rest makes me a bit anxious too! ><
All and all, I enjoyed this episode.

Yay for actually being able to understand wtf they're saying!
I see they're trying to drag it out as long as they can by adding that extra bit about America's weight. It was cute though.

I quite like it without all the jokes.
I'm such a sucker for character development, even with something that's fluff (and full of history snippets).
