There is a possibility of Chainsaw Man anime getting canceled.

https://twitter.com/SxFisthebest/status/1620348686382551040

Anime didn't make any money, manga already was best sellers before the anime. Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer etc. has 40x profit than this.

Looking for better series than Re:Zero

How tho??? Do people really think it was bad? The animation was freaking beautiful and the story aligns with the manga and should therefore not be any different. Was it an high expectation - mid reality thing because there was such a hype or something?

For a normal amount of sales with other competitors, yes.

But when you sell 50x more low than some random anime without any advertisement with an even cheaper Blu-ray price. Then there is a huge problem that indicates the majority didn't like the adaptation and don't want to support it.

The first season is already finished and there is no confirmation for the second season. What and how it is going to get canceled exactly?

Anime is approved by the boomers though, you thought people who cancel or approve sequels are 20-year-old otakus? No, they are 50+ men who looking for profit.

And sadly CSM is so poor at sales even seasonal series like Bocchi the Rock with almost no advertisement have 40x more sales. (Bocchi bluray also more expensive)

i mean i think if they adpated everything after the intro arc (or season 1) the sales would be higher cuz it’s just way better than the intro ever was

My Hero and AoT had less in sales compared to Konosuba.

This is normal for shounens since nobody out there buying Blu-ray’s for them.

We’ll get a 2nd season

Then how seasonal anime Bocchi the Rock has 40x more sales than Chainsaw Man which has an extremely high ad budget and tons of director and animators?

Yes, it matters. Also Bocchi price is higher than CSM, people choose to buy seasonal animes instead CSM shows how CSM does not do well and how it is bad for sequel.

Yes but the difference is AoT S1 still has 40k+ sales while CSM is 1,700.

does this statistic take anything in account, perhaps csm didnt make more than that amount of blu rays, maybe they arent selling anymore than that amount.

people buying crunchyroll(other streaming service) subscriptions thats what makes money today.

all you have to do is just look at popularity thats a way better way of guessing earnings.

Underperformed in Japan therefore it made less money so from a business perspective there would be no point for mappa to keep investing. But at the same time I recall vinland saga having such bad sales yet here we are with a second season. I doubt the most watched anime of the previous season won’t be making more money overseas or something. It’s just too early to tell about wether or not mappa will be forced to drop this or not.

I’m sure the people who don’t wanna pay for anything would spend hundreds of dollars to buy Japanese blu-rays that don’t even contain subs.

I also don’t have many hopes that they would be buying much merch either, considering how expensive figures are…

In addition to physical copy sales, Mappa also generates revenue from streaming rights, merchandise sales, and licensing. While a few years ago, Blu-ray sales were a major factor in determining whether an anime series would get a sequel, the international market for anime has grown in recent years and streaming services often pay significant amounts to studios for the rights to stream anime series.

Lmao kids here are falling for the bait. The show will definitely get a s2, just that dont expect 12 endings anymore. The blue ray sales are pathetic but streaming views are still high.

Btw op you need to worry about your peak zero more than csm.

Csm most probably will get s2 than rezero s3

I am laughing so hard considering people were calling CM peak fiction up until episode one. I guess people really don’t like “peak fiction” lmao. Nothing will be missed, except now we will have to see even more trash CGI in upcoming shows, since studios will look at CM and think it is acceptable now to cut corners.

Wow really shows that the anime industry is becoming shittier everyday trashy shows like rent a gf and kanojo mo kanojo are getting a sequel and an anime made with love, time and effort is struggling to keep up even Vinland saga with an amazing story and writing struggled to get a s2 but still got one thank god 😂 really makes me think sometimes that 2000s were a better era for good animes and audience that appreciated them, well I guess people really are just interested in degenerate and trashy shows great 👍.
