Is this the universally agreed worst modern shounen?

A lot of people seem to hate this anime a lot when it comes to modern battle shounen. Even more than Demon Slayer and maybe Black Clover.

Is this anime that bad in everyone's taste or did you find it good?

I personally didn't like my hero at all. It was one of the first animes I've ever seen but even that didn't make me love it lol I don't know whether it takes the crown of the worst shounen out there though. Maybe out of the popular ones but I'm sure theres gotta be one way worse than my hero

My Hero is alright, however it had been overshadowed by Demon Slayer, then Jujutsu Kaisen came and dug MHA deeper. With the rest of ‘The Dark Trio” anime coming out soon, MHA will sink lower and lower.

MHA to me is a 7-8 out of 10. It’s good and season 6 is going to be where is will get really good. However MHA is really cringe with the whole “friendship” theme. The recent line said in the manga “you made my friend cry” had me cringing.

I would say Fire Force is worse. It has the better story but the worse execution with fan service in the fight scenes and really stupid characters made it unbearable to me.

I think it was just really over hyped in the beginning. Then I think the fandom kinda changed everyone’s minds when it came to shipping and that.

I don't think it's bad (even though it's going on for a bit too long that it isn't keeping my attention anymore)
I think it's mainly the Fandom that gives this show its reputation.
Since MHA is one of the more well known and popular animes out there, newcomers could have seen this one earlier and eventually pick it apart when they eventually watch more of the shounen genre.
(if I worded this correctly lol)

BHA is just good anime for young people, The theme of heroism, self-sacrifice, teamwork, never give up. All this is complemented by a good OST and a lot epic battles , this anime is by no means unique, but at the same time nothing bad as for me.

Popularity is just popularity.

Sure, popularity can be an indication of whether people enjoy something or not. But in itself, popularity is just "the state or condition of being liked, admired, or supported by many people." which is not 100% referring to enjoyment.

In my opinion Demon Slayer is the worst. It's just not interesting at all for me. My Hero Academia has a premise not seen often in anime, that of superheroes, and that alone makes it more interesting to watch even if the plot isn't anything amazing half the time.

Don't like something? Don't watch it. This goes for all popular shows. There are plenty of shows I'm not into, but you don't see me acting like a cunt about it. Quality is just quality as well lol.

Quality cannot be based on personal or magnitudinal influence, because that would imply that it is subjective, which means measuring quality would then be inconsistent (since people are bound to disagree lol).

I would say the first seasons were good or even very good maybe thanks to the hype and also the potential of that anime being the one that can succeed the famous shonen animes from 2000s and start of 2010s. However, I feel like the plot becomes generic and repetitive. The recent seasons and episodes follow a sort of boring pattern. There isn't a real improvement or something new brought by the plot or the anime recently. Nevertheless, it still can be an enjoyable anime and it's just too harsh saying that this is the worst shonen anime right now.

I think it's okay.

I still think Demon Slayer is the worst because it wouldn't be anything without Ufotable. Demon Slayer is meh everywhere, except production.

For every unpopular show out there, there will always be someone that it speaks to. I've found a few I actually liked for some reason or another. What other people think about it couldn't mean any less to me, nor am I self-absorbed enough to think my opinion about a show should matter to anyone else. I think a lot of people forget the whole point of anime is enjoyment. Just wish the entire community wasn't so damn toxic.

I think it's an okay anime. Above the average, but I just feel like there's not that many cool fights and stuff in like 5 seasons and at least.

Can't remember anything good like Half Ice Half Fire dude vs crying lettuce, Endeavor vs Nomu Shippuden, OFA vs All Might, Not so Fat Gum & RR vs ORAORAORA and Shield dude, Wolfram vs Lettuce, Might and SSJ Deidara, Froppy vs Narcos, Deku VS Muscular and another one that I'm missing for sure atm

I still enjoy my hero although i can clearly see it has flaws. Season 5 didn’t do it for me and the whole generic ‘friendship’ thing is boring but the story concept and the world are still interesting so I don’t see myself dropping it unless they really mess something up. But as long as you stay away from the fandom it’s not too bad

I’d say it’s good up to season 3 then season 4 is only good for the fights(other then that it was cheeks) and season 5 is not great either but not as bad as season 4

I thought it was an average show at first but as it goes on I think the show matures more and it does get better, I thoroughly enjoy the newer seasons, but it starts out kinda bad then gets better in my opinion

Not sure what sort of circlejerk groups you're in, but people don't hate BHA more than Black Clover lol Anyway, I thought it was pretty good. Kinda aimless, though the end of s5 seems like the plot is finding its way.

The fandom and the declining quality are the reasons why everyone blows their hate for it out of proportion. Personally, I'd say that it's my favorite battle shonen, yet I'd only call the first three seasons particularly good.

It could be better if half of it's eps isn't a training/tournament arc. I mean bro we want story progression, it's 6 season already, why's it took so long to get to the major arc
