I don't get why so many people hate this anime? I thought every episode was hilarious and a fun watch, this show is a comedy and not supposed to be taken seriously... Is it only because of the incest?

I won't lie . I actually really liked eromanga sensei . Not bcs it has great writing or the plot is great or the animation is good .Just bcs it's not so serious anime which I don't watch for anything just to watch something after a hard day's work which is really light

What hate !?

Most rated this show 7 or above.

And it has a respectable 6.4 average overall

Seems to me between fine and good is as much as this show deserves.

They hate it because Sagiri is a loli who is in a suggestive relationship with the MC.

I, too, have a positive opinion about EroManga, it's mainly played for comedy and the characters go through some decent character growth which is something you wouldn't really expect for an anime that's considered really questionable by weebs.

Sagiri is cute, MC is relatable. Dunno why I should hate on it. Some people just love doing it just to seek attention or to try hard at analyzing and reviewing, it's so stupid. I mean just enjoy the anime or don't watch it, right?

I was hyped for it, watched it whole, enjoyed every second of it and I'm disgusted with myself.
I want 2nd season. I want it now!

Also, visuals are actually very good. Especially both OP and ED.

I plan on reading the LNs, I’ve heard they are much better than the anime.

I don't think anyone actually genuinely hates it.. Its just a really trashy show that everyone wants to trash on because it's a meme and it deserves it for being a trashy show😂

well thats also because to love ru is much more entertaining, it has more than just fanservice as it is also funny. To love ru isn't solely incest, eromanga is with the main love interest being his step sister.

yeah this anime relationship mainly on an elder brother who loves his step sister, and it counted as incest even though they had no any blood relate. people often hate incest shows idk why such as this, oreimo, kissxsis, etc. me as a romance enjoyer, don't hate it. in fact, this is one of my greatest romance harem. that's just my opinion, idk if it's true or nah.

Apparently there is a misconception about what this anime is about. Those who hate it just haven't watched it or gave it a chance. They judge a book by its cover and not what its actually about. People just make assumptions. Thats why its hated. But for those people who have actually watched it all the way through and still didnt like it. Its just their personal preference and opinions based on their own interest and likes and the show just wasnt enjoyable to them. But just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean someone else wont love it. This goes for all anime. Some will hate. Some will love. No anime is truly bad. Its only bad based on the persons opinion.

Its not about show,its how the show present itself

In a nutshell,this is a loli bait,incest,degenrate ecchi anime that is filled with trope we had seen a billion time

The story and character is fine,a 6,5/10 but the way the show present itself is degenerate which lead to hate

I very liked in this anime, the plot is quite interesting. I'm a bit weird why people hate this anime on the grounds that there is incest. I quite recommend on this anime. Whatever I advise to those who hate this anime to much, to watch this anime first before you can give you own opinion.

I think it's both because of the technical incest and also because of the creators past. He created Oreimo, which is straight up incest between a blood related brother and sister, and the author has talked about how his sister no longer allows him to contact her. So I think it's a mixture of the taboo subject as well as the authors... less than reputable behavior relating to sibling relationships.

Cuz it has the worst of both worlds.
For parents who only wish them kids watched a comedy it has doujinseki namely oreimo incest all over again and lolimouto young sis to add to insult!
For otakus looking for hentai such as erogame h mo it offers only ecchi and fan service meaning a major turn off.
Looks a lot to its precedents hentai ouji and also doujin work.
Major let downs to everyone particularly foreigners.

Honest dudes you dont appreciate how lucky you get it.
Back in the first decade of 2k 21st century animes were booming in Brazil.
Then yugioh came along and some damn religious troublemakers who happen to sponsor major tv channels such as Record and Bandeirantes claimed them cards were satanic and inspired human sacrifice.
Next thing you know anime was banned not only of regular tv but cable as well.
Only mangas managed to remain on newstands. Thanks saint Tezuka for at least this poor solace.
But that was just the beginning of it.
Havent you noticed the purge on youtube and most hentai sites?
It extends not only to lolis but managed to reach even mild nudity of retro shows such as spaceoperas and robots.
Only stuff that remained was bloody gory violence.
Tomino and Nagai stuff.
Truly despicable.
Incidentally payperview and costly Tivo came along and then Netflix and streaming but surely that was just a coincidence right?

Idk why, it isn't something that has an amazing story or anything. Its more like comfort food. It isn't incredible but I don't think it deserves the hate it gets. I'd say that its a 6 or 5 but I don't think it is as bad as a 3 or 2 that i see some people give it.

I love it and gave it a 10/10 so I'm not one to ask.. I've never watched a single episode of Naruto, DragonBall, One Piece, Pokémon, Fire Force, One Punch Man, Jujutsen or any of those shounen crap shows. But to me stuff like this is absolute God tier.

With my poor choice of words i will gave my opinion
If we talking about romance and slice of life, that is the most realistic thing that could be happened in this world right? And what do you think about 12 years girl had a crush with 16 years boy and he was her step brother?
Sometime lot of viewers also make their mind as the mc in certain anime and imagine that you was the eromanga sensei mc.
That's why i don't like watching romance and drama genre because sometime they combine reality and nonsense that make confuse what should i react and sometime felt hurt because it's true
It's different story if they insert romance in the fantasy anime, because that world is different world and not real in the first place. So whatever happened in that story will not affect me as a viewers

Summary
I don't like genre romance in the first place especially with drama but if there is romcom i'll will watch it because of the comedy not for the romance
