| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow, such a jazz-packed episode. For some reason, this episode seemed to last forever, and I enjoyed each stroke of it. Kaoru kissing Ritsuko took me by surprise and I was hoping their relationship would propel forward and Yurika would get involved as a singer for the already-quartet, but even though all my hopes were dashed, I loved every moment of this heart-breaking episode. |

| Damn, Kaoru moves fast. I hope we see an episode more focused on Ritsuko or in her POV at some point, since so far she's more like a reactionary element than her own character. |

| Waaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! OMG! Kaoru is totally impulsive!!! Way to go for guts... :)) but... :( Ri'ko lost her first kiss... And she cried.. :( When I saw her tears, I felt ghastly... like she'd been raped.. lol. It's heartbreaking!! :( Well, Kaoru asked Sen up front about what they were doing.. :) Oil painting it was..! and an awkward one at that. haha!! :P So.. it happened.. Yurika went for Jun... Can't deny he's amazing. :P Plus we get Sen's past.. So he wasn't adopted... as I'd thought.. Well. good. |

| So many emotions were riled up in this episode ... Kaoru gutsy move to kiss Ritsuko made me happy yet disappointed in him since he stole her first kiss and made her cry. Kaoru fight with Sentaro and his past made me sad. The end made me kind of angry that yurika was interested in Jun but you cant blame him for being amazing. Looking forward to next week! |

| Again, another great episode. Kaoru kissing Riko was so unexpected that I was like =O. Damn, he's fast! Previous ep's awkward scene of Yurika and Sentaro was explained. Pretty much sure that it was modeling. We got to see Sentaro's past and explains more about him. Also, her grandmother's death was bloody. Liked their quartet performance. Too bad a drunk guy have to interrupt but anyway, Jun singing is just smooth! Thus, Yurika set her eyes on Jun. They quite make a good pair. Can't wait how everyone esp. Sentaro will react. Also, LOL at the playground chasing scene. |

| Wow fantastic episode. Kaoru really moved fast on Riko but she didn't exactly seem to enjoy it. Then we learn more about Sentarou's past which was quite saddening. . . ;( Then the FANTASTIC performance at the bar but GOD DAMN IT. It seems Yurika has fallen for Jun which means Sentarou is being left in the dust. GAHHH damn makes it frusterating. Especially after seeing Sentarou's past it only made me more attached to his character! Well we can only see what will happen as time goes on and the next episode is released. |

| Is it just me or do the Japanese put even more stock in the first kiss than the Westerners do? Kaoru was very daring though! I must say I'm glad they didn't play jazz on the organ to long. I hate the instrament in general and oh God it was NOT intended for jazz music! Well, we know the reason for the Christianity and the rosary now. I wonder if Sentarou and Riko attend so he can feel close to his mother. Loved the Jazz performance and wish it had been longer. Too cute how Kaoru took the lead like that and snapped Sentarou out of his nerves. Also, Jun's singing. Wow. I'm kinda hoping a third girl will appear now so that one of the boys isn't left out in the cold. |

| Again a really heartfelt episode. Kaoru got overwhelmed by his feelings after his attempt to approach Ritsuko failed and got reminded by Sentarou of how unhappy he is with his own family situation, causing him to yell at Sentarou. However, in the end it leaded to a personal conversation which deepened their friendship even more, so everything played out just fine. Yurika has grown on me after this episode. She looks like a self-confident and independent woman and forms a great contrast to the delicate and gentle Ritsuko. She and Jun would make a nice pair. No matter how much I like Sentarou, he just seems a bit too rough for her. So, Jazz is used as an analogy for how unpredictable life can be, huh? Seems legit to me and it gives the show a nice touch. |

Damn sailors interupting the show. Well, atleast Kaoru had a chance to shine a little bit. Also the flashbacks of Sentarou's past were kinda sad, but we got to know more about the characters. A pretty good episode. |

| I was very impressed by Suwabe, Junichi's english performance as "Brother Jun". Sounded very natural. Of course, this is the same VA who voiced Archer in F/SN among many other big roles. |

| So okay I don't get Sentaros family tree. So Sentaro's mom slept with an American, but who was that guy sentaro was living with, His Uncle? But he called him father.... I'm I guessing he's his uncle.... and just refers to him as his father. also the Yurika and Jun thing is alittle creeps vile, when you consider Yurika is like what 16? |

| Holy shit, he went and kissed her, totally unexpected for both us and Ritsuko but he shouldn't have done that, he doesn't even know her feelings towards him. Kaoru was also a jerk for telling bad things to Sentarou who probably had the worst life out of the three. There is one thing I'm confused about, his father is American but the father we saw in the flashback wasn't his biological father, right? I like the scenes with Sentarou and Kaoru, they really get along and it's just fun to watch them. Nice performance even though the jerk interrupted them. Jun and Yurika... no, seriously, a big fucking NO!!! I don't want them to get together but Jun is definitely interested, too. It's just the worst poosible outcome: Kaoru > Ritsuko > Sentarou > Yurika > Jun (not sure if he just wants to play around with Yurika) |
| WELL THEN. I guess I was wrong about Ritsuko really liking Kaoru -_-" I hope Ri-chan and Sentaro end up together in the end. They make a really nice couple :) Yurika and Jun is pretty cute also. I'm liking that. That jazz was so beautiful. It really touched me in how they played that piece :) (Wished it was longer, but that stupid drunk guy had to stop it) Unlike others, I think Kaoru's kiss wasn't badly paced at all. I thought it was really refreshing to see a character take charge like that. Of course, I wouldn't like it if a guy did that to me, but, seeing it in Kaoru's point of view, he was really courageous. Sentaro's past surprised me a lot, in a good way :) It's really unique and doesn't have the usual flare to it. Loving him so much, I gotta say he's my favorite in this show. And God, when Jun started singing.... I think I was gonna fall for him too :) 5/5 Also, in a really subtle way, this episode gave YurikaxSentaro a negative connotation by making Sentaro 'stiff' because of her. I'm happy though, because I wasn't particularly fond of the couple in the first place ^-^; |

I don't know what was the standing on this matter back in the day in Japan, but there are a lot of countries where sexual intercourse is legal at age 14+, and I personally know some girls who had 20+ yo boyfriend at age 16-17. It seems pretty standard in my country. Btw. I'm starting to fall for Jun too, even though I'm a straight guy. |

| Nigga problems, the anime. Well fuck, back to love triangle it seems, as Yurika is surely all over Jun already. Too bad, but it didn't really seem like a possible pairing from the start anyway. Good episode, but i didn't enjoy it as much as previous somehow. |

| OH SHIT YURIKA AND JUN-NII!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, just loved Sentarou's backstory - it was very poignant and added to his character. The jazz analogy to life was so cleverly written, and it's true too. |
