| "Better than to heart" Sorry, not for me. It started off like a cheap dating-sim VG, not like a sequel of a nice romance anime. I loved TH, since it was quite "fresh" in the genere, was nicely-drawn, without typical simplifications found in "fresh-after-2002" mass-produced school-romance anime. TH 2 looks for me like a cheap production, fully copy-ed from VG script, unlike somewhat rewritten TH. Even faces are so undetailed, that are mostly expressionless. I can understand the entusiasm of some people - since such genere is often watched by eager 13-old girls, who can't put a score below 8 to anything that's simply unwatchable for most of the people, but it's "japaneese ^___^" so "has to be good". ;) In any way, it has good moments and some of the romantic tension peaks are quite intense and subtle. Though I was enjoying TH a whole lot more. ;3 |
| I loved the first episode so much! I can't really say if I like it better than To Heart because I read the Manga and was bored to tears with it. The anime may be better, and I've wanted to give it a chance, but I just haven't been able to get my hands on a copy of To Heart yet, nor do I want to spend a whole bunch of money on an anime that I won't finish. To Heart 2 though, I'm really liking it! |
| Ha? What the heck? One episode and you think it's better than To Heart? They only introduce 2 characters and they're rather bland ones at that. I'm 4 ep's in now and though I think it's okay, I'm not nearly as attached to the characters as I was when watching To Heart. The storytelling is better than To Heart though, but the pacing is bad. Seems like they're trying to do too much in one episode rather than spread it out and build it up properly. Shaping up to be a 3 or 4 unless it gets better quickly. |
| Just finished it earlier tonite. . . Wow that got bad in a hurry. It now stands as the ONLY TV series that I have rated 1 (currently at 76 TV series complete). The story went downhill after episode 3. Haruhi rip-off was not necessary, dragging it out for 3 episodes was even less so. The twins were annoying. The ending was lame. Tamaki (best character) got next to NO airtime. If I ever hear "Ru" or "love-love" again I might end up beating something with a baseball bat. Possibly my own skull. The voice acting was terrible and the 2 main characters were completely forgettable. I honestly don't know why I even bothered to finish it. I kept hoping it would get better. Instead it kept getting worse, to the point where they end episode 11 without concluding the story they were building up. I strongly recommend to NOT watch this. Avoid it at all costs and watch something else. I can give some good recommendations for romance shows as that's pretty much all I watch. |

| Well, this is the first anime I've ever tried watching raw... sure was a generic first episode, though. At least that made it pretty easy to follow even though my Japanese isn't perfect. I'm reserving judgment on this series until Tamaki shows up. This whole episode was just a teaser for her appearance, I hope. |

| Didn't like it to be honest. I didn't like the designs, premise or characters. Besides it felt wrong for the chick to just go sleep with the dude like that, even by anime standards. |

Random really bad looking artwork from anime from 2015-16 To Heart 2: If you really can't see the difference in quality, details and general art, then you are blind. It concerns most of productions from nowadays. Lack of proper shading, shitty CG backgrounds, and rotoscoped characters. To Heart 2 looks good even for 2008 (not comparing to nowadays productions, because most of it looks like shit, but comparing to 2008 and sooner, when the art was awesome in most of cases). |

| Huge upgrade from To Heart. We have more likeable MC and don't get the sleepy shit again. Although his design is generic. |
