I realise that this series had quite a concrete ending and I also realise that the author of Zero no Tsukaima is no longer with us, although I'm not sure how much involvement he had with the anime.
Either way I would love to see a continuation of Zero no Tsukaima even if it were just an hour or so long feature episode.

I would love a continuation of it. Despite my problems with the series I still think it is great, and is something that I would love to see more of. As long as Saito stops being a dick then I would support it 100%.

But didn't the author die or something? I thought they covered all the source material in the final season.

I wouldn't mind, but I guess that's really the great end, even if they continued the series they would be obligated to 'create' more enemies, which can be very frustrating to watch, best to end it here

I don't think I want to, to be honest. I love this series to death (especially the light novels), but the author died after the volume which was the start of the final arc, which would have been about the war with the elves, the history of the legendary human familiar (forgot his name a bit, but Saito got transported to his time in volume 16 or 17, but it's the guy who supposedly started the whole war and inevitably is a smart, kind and very nice boy), and the whole question about what the thing with gates and familiars was actually about, what magic was, pretty much all the lore of the entire world that was left unexplained - and now we'll never know, because he never got to write the final two volumes. No one in the whole world will get an ending for this series :(

I'm glad that it ended how it did. If the original author was still around, then I would love to see a continuation, but unfortunately that won't be happening. I would hate for someone else to take over the creative design.

Zero No Tsukaima is one of my favourite anime, beautiful story, great characters and just enough ecchi to make you still feel comfortable without being "too" comfortable. However i really wished they would have at least done something besides them satnding outside... who's house was that? His parents? Siblings? That could have been specifyed. I would've also liked to know how much Earth time had passed, he went missing, unless that was for about two minutes, even so, if he returned married, it would be strange. However if a long period of time had passed, why couldn't we see the parent's/sibling's/whoever's reaction to Saito coming home? Overall, 9/10

Agreed! An Afterstory OVA and a day in Japan OVA would've been nice
