| What do yo guys think of Minato's movie name? I would guess if another persona 3 game came out that required a name they would use Makoto... But still, i think it's a pretty good name even if i did prefer his manga alias. Please correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't his name kinda translate to Brave Protector?? Anyways, Opinions? |
| Thing is I think the major change of the name is because "Yuuki" will have different personality and charatristics from Minato. Minato in the manga is usually lazy, he's a comedian at sometimes and doesnt talk a lot. so if they named him minato ppl would assume he would have to act as the manga, which is why they gave him a new name and therefore he is a different protagnist now. Atleast thats what I think why they changed it...but in terms of names, Minato Arisato fits way more than Makoto Yuuki. |

| I kinda agree, but i think Makoto Yuuki is one of the best names they could've changed it to. i wouldn't mind giving hi a new identity from the manga... if only there was more of it translated. |

| That's because ATLUS is not connected to production of either animated series or manga. These are independent projects and it would actually probably stir up trouble if they were to name him Minato in the anime. I'm personally a fan of Minato as well, but it doesn't mean they're going to change it. It's also important to give it some time. Everyone was mad when they announced P4's protagonist to be named Narukami Yu instead of Seta Souji, but that quickly faded. I agree that Makoto Yuki doesn't sound quite as good, however it's doubtful they'll change if it's not just a stand-in name. |
| Well, I'll just state personal opinions. But I'm going with Minato Arisato, hands down. I don't know. I kinda don't really liked the Yuuki part. Sigh. Minato was the perfect for him. But well, let's just see. |

| I like it, but mainly because I have a soft spot for "Yuki" and "Yuuki". Likewise for Narukami. |
| Don't like it. I don't know I'm just always being reminded of a certain horndog whenever I see the name Makoto. And Yuuki's a bit .. I dunno, girly? |

| I prefer Minato by far. Mind you, it's what I'm used to calling him, but I also do believe that Minato Arisato is easier to say, due to both last name and first name ending on 'ato'. Gives the name such a great flow. |

| It's kind of funny how people wont let this character be named Makoto because of School Days. Let it go its a completely different thing. Nameless protagonist is nameless, whoever can call him whatever. He has no name. And to get butthurt because he shares a name with the MC of a VN that nobody cares about anymore shows that you arent real persona fans. They could call him Naruto and I would still support them. |

| Arisato Minato sounds way too cooler than Yuuki Makoto. While Makoto is a more feminine name, Minato gives a fresh, cool feeling and it fits him better. I mean come on, he was CREATED with that name, why wouldn't he keep it? Narukami Yuu works, but Yuuki Makoto is crossing the border. I'm sorry I'm conservative, but it just doesn't work for me :L |
