Seriously; What's with the Japanese & wimp assed protagonists? It's like the hight of comic relief is having some guy constantly being beat up & humiliated by unreasonable hot headed loli's.

I'm currently reading the novel & have managed to get to Volume 9 but. seriously, i'm wondering if I should bother to continue. Although it's head & tails above the anime still, everytime I think that Louis is finally starting to mature (as well as the author) it just slides right back into "Beat the crap out of Saito because of some imagined slight or missanderstanding".

Frankly the hero of the story really is a wipped dog because he just takes it & wags his tail.

Anyway. That's my rant.
The setting of the story is interesting, the cast of characters are good with the back plot is growing more intriguing however. the comedy/romance part of it simply slides right into the same old assinine mold as so so many other anime, manga & light novels.
Does YAMAGUCHI Noboru. The Author. Ever start producing a more mature character for this story?
