You should post this in their forums, not the general ones.

I honestly think it's a wonderful series with fantastic characters and real drama....beneath all the ecchi loli jokes. XD (though the manga made me squirm at times...it was still captivating enough to keep me reading instead of turning away in disgust.)

I don't think there will ever be another series like Kojika.

I reviewed this anime from a different perspective than many others. A lot of people went on to talk about the attention seeking behavior of children and so on, but I know a 17 year old girl who could very well be Rin.
I won't go into detail but we were pen pals for about a year. Rin suffered a lot of trauma and while she is definitely immature in a lot of ways due to inexperience, she is definitely also more mature than Aoki-sensei in a lot of other ways.
He's a virgin, he has no experience with women. I think the scene with the cat in the very first episode sets the pace for Rin's character, a sort of false dichotomy in what is expected to be vs what actually is maturity.
The show asks a lot of big questions, and forces you to either reconsider your opinions on the subject matter or, at the least, in this case to make a moral exception.
I found myself face palming whenever Aoki rebuked Rin, and yelling "Just fucking love her, she deserves it"
I like how the short second season alludes to a more open and slow paced relationship between the two.
That said, the manga is always better :P even though I did not like the reiji / rin arch, I did like the way it was resolved.

ALL OF THIS SAID.
I'm not saying that a sexual or even overtly intimate relationship should bloom between the two but I do think that Rin and Aoki should "be together" and very very very slowly progress a relationship beyond that of student and teacher.
Am I fucked up for thinking that? Probably.
But when you consider the source material, and consider the character development, and consider everything else, you can't help but feel like Rin deserves it, and Aoki does too.
