| Date easily handled him with minimal effort, but it should be a nice humbling experience that should serve as a good lesson for Ippo I am sure. |

| Woah! What happened to ippo? That pose he's in looks scary! XP But Its now like him to lose hope hehe.. I really like the pace of this anime.. it doesn't let up and continues to bring Ippo closer to being a true champion! :-) Also.. Aoki and Kimura's matches were not as amazing as Ippo's but they look so damn hilarious even when they're winning! hahaha |

| Woah, what happened? That hit just drilled his defense. Did it hit the chin? It looked like he was paralysed. Date's really good, he know how to addapt to an opponent. A practice match is interresting, it will serve to Ippo as a lesson. |

| The Kamogawa Big Three won their matches in a flash so that means that Ippo should be giving his all to keep up with them on his way to the Championships if he wants to make it like their senpais. I have no idea how long it would take for Yamada to catch up since he's still a background character so far but that's what makes it exciting. Ippo's sparring session with that sandbag was awesome. Date's personally showing him the gap between a rookie and a champion right from the get go! |

| Ippo lost to Date.... well it was just a sparring match so it doesnt count as a loss. Ippo is still undefeated. |

| Yeah it's a good thing Ippo couldn't defeat Date, he shouldn't be able to at this point. Glad he has something to look forward and train toward. True though, technically Ippo is still undefeated. |
