Especially since her father would probably be in his late forties to fifties depending on when had her. That's a lot of years of crossfire. A lot of enemies get made with that kind of job. Yeah... can't imagine every butei lives to be old. Let's see, Sherlock born in 1854; Aria is 16 in 2009, so she born in 1993. That's about 140 years different with two gens between them. So her dad should be approximately 45 years older than her??? Holy Shit! He sure had one babe became Aria's mom. |

Siesta in the later seasons of Zero no Tsukaima felt to me to be without redeeming characteristics. Only ever watched the first couple episodes of School Days, but the male protagonist just kind of seemed like an unrelatable dick. Couldn't really get behind the romance with him. Can't really think of anyone else off the top of my head, but there are probably a couple other characters who seemed just plain unlikable to me.And this is where unique character designs come with appreciation even everyone's taste differ, you can't deny the unique features of a characters and appreciation for them but the same applies to those who hate those kind. So as much as I agree with the policy, I gotta admit that sometimes there's just no reason to like someone and every reason to dislike them. Though flaming and these silly "Character vs Character" arguments are another matter entirely. Also, Nagi pics. Because why not? All may gaze upon her cuteness. I can't help but root for her and feel very protective in a way that makes every minor conundrum significant. It's all personal taste, but as far as I'm concerned any other tsunderes I may enjoy are a flavor of the week. Nagi's the one I always come back to. Nagi IS way cute. :3 I have a figure of her. XD I'm for the speculation that Aria's father is no longer alive. If he was, he'd probably be trying to get his wife outta jail. o_O Unless he was just a jerk who didn't care.....or he is being held prisoner somewhere...but if that was the case, Aria would be trying to help him out too, I should think.... |

As someone with a lot of that in my family I feel I can say it's just not respectable like it often is in the movies. Of course, as someone who does enjoy yanderes, the problem I have with one like this is that normally the feeling of progressive discomfort and sense of nameless fear that pervades your perception of everything she does is supposed to overcome that. Ideally there's something just a bit off about her, something that you know is wrong but, like so many of life's greatest dangers, you'll never be able to figure out before it's too late. Even if you did, it's like being a deer caught in the headlights. There's no real safe way out once she's latched onto you. Shiroyuki doesn't really have that though. She's desperate and clingy, but she's not unsettling. There's no fear surrounding my perceptions of her. Even when she's flatout trying to kill Aria, the threat isn't treated very seriously. I mean, scary and sexy is a winning combination and all, but when you take a scary archetype and remove the fear then where are we? Of course, since she seems to be being treated primarily as gag fodder, and since I enjoy the humor she brings, it's not a big deal to me. If the humor wasn't hitting its' mark though I can see that I'd pretty quickly come to view her screen time as something I power through to get to the enjoyable stuff. As is I view her as less darth vader and more Dark Helmet. If you're interested, check out the novels prologue. It's probably about a page long. Maybe a page and a half. Think you might find his thoughts throughout the episode 1 Shiroyuki encounter a bit interesting. She's not exactly winning anyone over with her behavior. There's a reason he's still single despite being friends with her all these years and it's not the hysteria mode or the difficulties that surround childhood friend romances. |

| Since it started with Shirayuki, I knew I would not enjoy the episode too much. The kiss acknowledging and Aria in her cheerleader outfit almost compensated enough but then it basically turned into ZnT season 4 oh lol misunderstandings is so funneh! Seriously, 3 seasons were enough of that, if this show changes focus on harem, I'm dropping this at the speed of light. 3/5 really disappointed. Ps: I guess Kinji will end up getting a cold, so lucky the remedy he kept at home was conveniently destroyed in the episode.... |

| - Fake phone call from somewhere leads Shirayuki to Kinji's bathroom, while Aria is coming back at the right time. This is quite important later on. ^ Yeah that is a good point. It was all funny though. Especially Shirayuki wanting to show herself. But Kinji fails again. I especially liked what Shirayuki said, "Ok I will live at your home and join your harem!". Or something like that pretty funny. Mostly ok episode. NB4 Durandal is one of his classmates. |
| This feels like too many genres for a 12 episode anime. We've already got an action romance with sci-fi elements, and the harem element just feels kind of wedged in. |

| 1. kinji is a lucky guy having 2 girls his age living with him 2. characters are just ok & acceptable for me. this being a slice of life ep, i was falling asleep. 3. good thing the english dub is very good. todd haberkorn & leah clark in the english commentary for this ep was epic. 4/10 |

| What is this...what has happened to this series? Whatever it was, stay on this path! Seriously Shirayuki ended up being a hoot and this has to be my favorite episode so far. Just drop the so-so story that's probably going to end on an open cliffhanger anyway and just focus on these antics. I'll seriously add +2 on my final score if they do. |

Gangler said: Shirayuki's problem is that forbasicallly her entire life, she has been socially isolated. This is due to her position a Hotogi Shrine Maiden. Kinji was basically not only the one to show her the outside world, but also probably the only one she could relate to on an equal footing. (It is revealed in the novels that her family and his have a long standing connection, hence why he was able to visit her as a kid.) Her Yandere personalities are a reflection of this, not only does Kniji represent a normal life to her, but also the only Normailty she would be allowed, hence why she hangs on to him so desperately. Remember her being called a "caged bird"? That is because she pretty much spent her whole life, minus butei academy on the Hotogi Shrine performing her duties. I didn't care for her much at first either, but upon learning about her past I just wanted to give her a hug. Also I forget if thee Novels had mentioned it by this point or not, but before Kinji went to Butei high he was in a normal school. While there all the girls found out about his hysteria mode and would intentionally trigger it, and then force him to do whatever they asked him to since he can't hurt girls in hysteria mode. That's is why he so reluctant to use it. At the same time he feels like he is nothing without it. So Kinji's seems to have a case of always someone better, when the someone better is himself.Yumekichi11 said: Indeed it was but it's just too bad she did not find out that Kinji needs sexual stimulation for his condition. At the end of the day, kinji is gonna make sure he gets the trigger taken care of when the battle starts, so from aria's end she can pretty much take him into battle with a surety that Kinji will shift once it gets started. I'd hope for Kinji to explain the situation to her just in order to avoid mixed signals from his battlefield interactions (I would bet money that Aria thinks Kinji loves her because of the kiss, but that's not even really a bet), but I sincerely doubt that's gonna happen. I'm all for the main accidentally leading on some harem member when it's a legitimate misunderstanding or the harem member is reading far too much into way too little and the main isn't cluing in. It's a tried and true means of creating comedy through their misunderstandings and the discrepancies in their interactions from each perspective, but in this situation Kinji pretty much has to know what it looks like when he does this. If he keeps it a secret anyway that's pretty skeevy. He hasn't told aria yet, and he's already joined into a partnership and essentially committed to do this again, so even outside of just expectations of the genre I don't feel I'm unjustified in thinking this is going into a scummy and not entirely relatable direction. It feels out of place, seems to cheapen a lot of what would otherwise be really cool moments, and as a whole hysteria kinji just isn't really fun to watch. Oh well, I'm still having fun with all this, and he spends relatively little time in hysteria mode, so it's not like it's breaking the show for me or anything. I mean, I would not do that if I were her. Despite all this, Aria actually volunteers to be Shirayuki's bodyguard. How nice! But, how does Shirayuki thank her? By calling her a b*tch and saying how she doesn't want her near her. Also, when she cooked dinner, she says the food was all for Kinji. SERIOUSLY!! I hate you shirayuki!! And, she talks about ARia invading her little world with Kinji and stealing him. But no. It is the opposite way round. SHirayuki had to interfere with Kinji and Aria's relationship and live in Kinji's house, too. Don't be a hypocrite Shirayuki! I am sorry if a have offended Shirayuki fans but I am really pissed right now because this episode had made my respect for this show drop down. I hope the relationship between Aria and Kinji strengthens later on and more importantly, the annoying yandere to stop living with Kinji as he is already with someone. I'm pretty sure this is a harem anime rather than a straightforward romance, so there will probably be more intrusions on the Kinji/Aria ship to come. Just a heads up. Sounds like that might be a big deal to you. Might be worth finding a novel reader to ask about that. I hope that helps. P.S. Sorry if someone already answered this I am only on page 5 and I only plan to skim the rest for now. |

| I like Shirayuki a lot especially with her added backstory. I didn't expect harem comedy, but I thought it went well. Though I feel as Shirayuki is taking up too much space in a way because this is only a 12 episode series and I don't think the show will do her justice. It's a bummer I said that last thing too because I would hope for a Kinji x Shirayuki ending. |
