It’s like how people call Urusei Yatsura the OG harem anime. It just barely skims the surface when it comes to a harem. But if we think about them all like that then any anime series with more than two good looking girls in it is considered a harem I guess. How do you even classify a harem? I thought it was when the MC had multiple love interest at the same time but idk I am confused now.
| Toradora is more love polygon than harem though, and the definition of a harem is when multiple female characters have a romantic interest on one specific character, usually the main. Yeah there’s like three good looking female leads in Toradora who do have a relationship with Ryuuji but only two shared an interest with them being Taiga and Minori but then there’s the other relationships with the other leads so the whole group dynamic gets more filled. I did not need to type this much to describe harems lol and I also suck at explanations but I think the idea is there. |

Having that wholesome feeling for me is kind of rare, bokuyaba is pretty generic as well. But I would say watch tonikawa, toradora, josee the tiger and the fish, and adachi and shimamura. |

| I have a few recommendation here, maybe the plot is not so similar to Bokuyaba but they are great wholesome school romance like Bokuyaba: If you crave for pure romance: - The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten - Tsuki ga Kirei - Insomniacs After School - Kimi ni Todoke If you crave for romance with some comedy: - Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Horimiya - Komi Can’t Communicate - Aharen-san wa Hakarenai If you crave for slice-of-life romance: - Teasing Master Takagi-san - Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible - The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses |

God not Torodora, I literally got to the last episode and was like na I am out and never finished it. My weeaboomer friends all agree with me that the blue haired chick was best chick though. If u think Komi is better than toradora then there’s something wrong with u, Komi is one of the most boring animes I’ve seen generic, predictable story, no interesting characters( like kny they all have 1 character trait) the mc is bland, Komi’s social anxiety disorder is dumb to the point where it’s cringe it’s worse than watamote. Also nagatoro and uzaki Chan are both generic af and weird. |
