From what manga readers have been saying, they've been cramming like 5 chapters into each episode. I assume that's in order to reach the spoiler you're talking about by the end of the season.

it's not that big of a problem, they've been adapting 4 chapters per episode and it's never felt rushed. It's just a matter of counting and you can see they can easily get those scenses in the episodes

They go to about 4 chapters per episode and should finish at 113 or even push to 114 which i think would be a better ending to this season

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

(obvious spoilers in this comment, but this thread is based on spoilers, so)
I reread these chapters today and I think there really won’t be a problem.
Based on how many panels are just tiny things happening during the school trip, I think they could even get to Ichikawa’s confession in one episode, as that felt like the most likely landing point.
I had also thought there was a bit more of a delay between their confessions from when I first read it, but it’s actually a pretty short turnaround, so maybe they’ll put both in the last episode. Either way, I’m looking forward to it as the adaptation has been great up to this point.

There really isn't that much content in those chapters. They could very feasibly end at 114 and on top of that I was actually wondering if they would insert some original scenes to pad it out and make it feel more like a trip

It's definitely enough. There are not that many chapters to get to that point and based on the amount of chapters adapted on average and how well the pacing has flowed for a majority of episodes, this should be no issue at all.

I feel like I'm just being greedy and completely unrealistic but I pray we end the season on the scene where.....

Yamada and Ichikawa kiss.
I was especially surprised it was executed in the manga. It felt so... natural. The way Yamada kissed him first, then came back and kissed her again.

I have high hopes for season 3. If we have enough content for it
