Go check oricon or Amazon JP and look where it stand in the pre order for the first few volume that should give you an idea from the latest news Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete is the biggest contenter for a sequel as all the volumes top the chart for pre order. Though it also need the information on the manga boost sale to get a more detailed idea if it will happen or not.
| @Otakupervert890 The manga sold 3.8 Million+ copies! From volume 1 - Volume 10(ongoing) The manga also got into many magazine in Japan. And also nominated for Best Manga in the Annual Manga Awards in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The manga release on 24 July 2019. So I'm sure the manga sales will rise up when the anime finished airing! It's one of the most popular shoujo manga!  Vol 10 sales is also impressive! (latest volume) with 52K+ sales within 5 days last year (December 2023) Volume 10 release on 13 December 2023 in Japan. Volume 10 also managed to get at top 7 at Oricon manga weekly sales chart! (11 - 17 December 2023)  |

As of episode 11 the anime adapted 19 chapter and 5 volume!
The latest chapter is chap 42 and the latest volume is volume 10!
I think there is enough source material for a second season!

@Memore the anime only adapted 21 chapters out of 42 chapters(latest chapter)
| @kisaragi_eki, than 12 or 13 episodes again. They better wait for more chapters to make 24 or 26 episodes. |
