Why is this anime tagged as ecchi instead of erotica?

Just curious cuz this show has several explicit sexual interactions and labeling it as an ecchi anime seems unfitting

Ecchi is usually sexual based anime lacking the show of direct penetration. If the series did that it would switch to a direct hentai classification.

It fits it, if you have seen highschool dxd or any of the other popular ecchi/harem anime you would notice that it is not much different.

Thanks for the replies !! Most have really been useful to me

This topic wasn't meant to judge anime labelling on mal, it just felt odd to me since the manga has an erotica tag on mangadex so i became curious on what sets those two tags apart
