It is pretty much a 1:1 adaptation. They only flip the order of a couple of scenes and somethimes skip minor detail of the abilities that would just prolongue the dialogue.

It's 1:1 adaptation. So far they only cut out UM5 backstory, but nothing of value was lost.

The anime cuts out a lot of details and explanations due to the lack of narrator, which why some scenes in the anime can appear as asspulls sometimes, otherwise it is a 1:1 adaptation.

Ps: manga pacing is just better imo

Yh also art style is a lot rougher and Yh generally the pacing is way quicker in the manga. The art style is goofier it’s quite cute really. But it doesn’t have the same sort of magic which the studio brings in the animation. But that’s just a difference between all anime and manga

there is no narrator in the anime, whereas the manga has a lot of narration with info dumps and such!!

I'm not sure about things in season 1,but season 2 and beyond has had major changes in how the events happen.

I'll be using some of the most noticeable examples from the entertainment district arc.

The kunai which tanjiro uses to stab gyutaro was passed to him by Hinatsuru in the manga, but in anime, he throws around some perfume bags and finds a kunai around which he uses to stab gyutaro.

Visual changes that enhance (maybe?) some scenes, like god like speed in manga was Zenitsu just standing in a place and trynna slice off Daki, but in anime, we see him zooming around the entertainment district, but it makes the scene more questionable, like, how can Inosuke follow and catch up to Zenitsu when he's zooming around with his god like speed? and such other questions.

Fights are extended, beyond scope of the manga. A well storyboarded and directed fights. Tengen vs Gyutaro final round was the most hyped episode among all 3 seasons and it still feels like an absolute cinema whenever I watch it again.

Regardless of these mentioned changes, its still a 1:1 adaptation.

It is different but in a good way. It’s a more or less perfect adaptation but all the differences are basically just anime original content added.

The thing I put in spoiler tags is just in case you haven’t watched season 2 or 3 but there not manga spoilers

the anime “dramatizes” some of the lines for entertainment, but other than that i would say its nearly identical to the manga. i hope it continues that way 🤞🏼

It's a very faithful adaptation. In many ways it improves the source material by extending the existing scenes in a good way. However, sometimes small details known from the manga are omitted, but it's not a big deal and everything works well even with such small and incidental omitments, due to awesome direction. Most, if not all, omitted elements are connected to the fact that there is no narrator who'd be explaining in details what's happening, so in order to maintain good pacing, they had to be left unadapted. But like I said before, they ain't a big deal.

The anime is really only good because of the anime, it’s like jujitsu kaizen. Mid story, great animation

it totally adapted the manga without changing major events
the anime is more enjoyable than the manga due to the insane animation (ufotable are the goat)
