Moomin and his friends finally flies on Snork's flying ship. The peak of the episode was when Little My became a blind passenger on Moomin's and Snork Maiden's journey and caused chaos. I gotta say this was a proper send-off to a great series. It began with spring and it ends with winter. And yet, I couldn't help but feel it ended on a bittersweet note. I had hoped Moomin would join Snufkin this time but I guess some things never change ...

So, this is the end, a bittersweet ending, a strange feeling of desolation and a feeling that, the series could have been better as I have been left with quite a lot of unanswered questions like what happened to certain characters like Frederickson or the Joxter, or how I feel that the lots of characters that this series presented us... well, ended forgotten in the end, like Fillyjonk or Stinky, or to a larger extent, I'd like to know what happened to the rest of mini-subplots that happened around the series.

Either way, back to the final episode. I loved the detail that the final scene of Moomin greeting Snufkin was almost exactly the same as the very first scene but mirrored.

My final note for Tanoshii Muumin Ikka would be an 8/10; I love the overall concept of Moomin and I really recommend it, yet I felt that the series was lacking something.

Update: Apparently the comics expand several subplots, also increased score to 9.
