Is Gintama worth its high ratings

Since I haven't watched so It's natural to have a doubt that literally all the seasons of Gintama has a rating above 8.90 +
Which is extremely insane!

So guys without spoiling just tell me why man

It would totally depend on your taste, that's the only factor.

Me, personally, I think gintama is good but not deserving of a rating as high as 8.9~

I have only watched the first season/entry (200 eps).
It might get better later on? So yeah.

Compared to other long running shows, Gintama is extremely consistent in its quality for me.

if you love slice of life/comedy type of genre then, yes

In my opinion, the only parts of Gintama that probably deserved to get the high rating they have now are Gintama (2015) and Gintama The Final. Season 1 is only really groundbreaking on its latter episodes so its only around 8.4 for me, Gintama (2011) and Enchosen are f*cking amazing but not enough to be in the same league as other top anime so they get 8.8-9.2 for me, Gintama Be Forever Yorozuya is a great movie 9.3 Gintama (2017) is the worst season so it gets 8 for me, Gintama Porori-hen is enjoyable and amazing for what it is so 8.4-8.7 for me, Gintama Shirogane no Tamashii-hen part 1 gets 8.6 for me because it is kinda wanky in some areas while part 2 is a definite 9.1 for me but just really lacks in the animation department. I'm pretty sure this opinions vary on people (especially about The Final and the 2017) but the common consensus is no, not all Gintama seasons are masterpieces.

Oh I almost forgot to mention the ratings here is not saying what should the ratings for these shows have in MAL as, well that will be more of a group effort to get a proper rating. These scores are just based on my own standards with 2015 and The Final being and almost a 10/10.
