Berserk - Looking For A Scene...

Hey all.

I've got a weird question. I've watched most of the 1997 Berserk series and was discussing it with someone at work who mentioned something from the Manga which I have not read.

It was a scene where Guts was with a girl (Collette maybe) and her grandfather. The girls gets killed by a demon and Guts has to kill her. I told him that I remember the scene but he said it was only in the Manga.

I went back and I can't find the scene anywhere, but I know I watched it somewhere.

Can anyone tell me where I saw this? Or, am I nuts?

Yes , it's indeed Collette , and it's only in the Manga. (Chapter (0)2)
In the Anime she just gets harassed by bandits in a pub , and Guts save her. That's all.

Maybe you have read/heard about the Manga and you don't remember it ?

So, it's not in any of the movies or the 2016 series?

That is so bizarre. I remember it very clearly.

I guess it's possible that I did read just enough of the Manga and my imagination went from there. It was a couple of years ago...

The first episode of the 2016 adapts that chapter. Even if poison to your eyes and ears.

When you say re-adapted, does that mean there are different versions? I have episodes 1-25 and the scene where Guts kills Collette is not there.

Episode 1 of Berserk 97 adapted a (very) few (and altered) elements of it.

As for the scene you are looking for , it's in Berserk 2016 Episode 1 , at around 16min.
However , they also altered and censored how the whole sequence took place , and Guts kills her when the fog hide the screen.
In the Manga , you clearly see him cut her head , so i still believe you actually read/heard it from the Manga rather than the Animes.
