ok so I completed both s1 and s2. S1 was mid (6 is a decent rating) and for s2, I kinda enjoyed it, especially the kuroneko x kyosuke and I loved the part where kirino actually helps him when kuroneko ran away. I thought, at that time, that it was really a decent anime with some lessons. But I made the biggest mistake of my life by watching the three ep specials. It was just so fucking gross that it doesn't even deserves a rating. Like bro, please don't lose your humanity. There are 4 billion women in this world you can fall in love with. But when I checked it in mal, it really had a decent rating. Have people really have lost their minds?

It's a quality trash and guilty pleasure show.
If you do not take it seriously and turn your brain off, you'll actually have a blast.
Also, Kuroneko is like one of the best characters in anime.
But the ending is where the shitshow actually starts with this cringy drama and incest stuff.

Because the first season of the show also highlights the Otaku culture in Japan, and the challenges, peer pressure and unnecessary judgement faced by anime fans worldwide. I guess it resonated with a lot of folks in the anime community.

And about that ending, while it certainly seems gross when looked at from one angle, I think the ending is more about how Kyosuke deeply cares about his sister's feelings more so than his own, sacrificing his own love interests (Kuroneko, Ayase) to make Kirino happy. It's obviously not incest as they agreed it's temporary, only till the time they graduate, and they didn't beyond that kiss at the end.

Because it's entertaining... Because it's different... I love watching horror stuff I enjoy watching serial killer shows... It doesn't mean I'm going to kill people does it?

Just because people enjoyed a romantic story of a sister and brother doesn't mean they see their own sister/brother that way.

I don't have brothers but I have plenty of male cousins and I would never date them or be interested in them that way.

One thing is fiction and other thing is reality.. Two different things... It's important to distinguish those two things and not mix it up... But there are some exceptions tho. I don't want to bring those up cuz I don't want to start a debate and argue.

But I think as long people keep some of their "tastes" in fantasy and fiction world it's fine as long there's no harm to anyone in real life.
