do you watch Gintama by watching the whole series without watching other anime or when you watched the first season then you watch other anime?

because I just finished season 1 episode 48 and I lost the motivation to continue watching it.

I finished the series without watching any other series, with the exception of seasonals. I remember watching it for about two or three weeks in a row. You don't have to limit yourself to Gintama and watch other anime alongside it.

I started rewatching Gintama nearly a month ago (4th watch) and it took me a month to be 130+ episodes in, alongside rewatching other series on the side too like Mushoku Tensei, Mob Psycho 100, Odd Taxi, etc, following up with seasonals and focusing on my other interests too. Given how I have university restarting soon, hopefully the remaining episodes can last for at least 2 months and this show can act as a nice way to take a break from studies then.

Regarding my first watch, it took me about a couple weeks to see it in 2018, but I did binge it solely alongside seasonals. The start was slow but I had a good time so I didn't need to take a break from it then. Helped that I could easily watch 40-50 episodes a day if I had the time. If it's too slow for you or not that interesting to binge it solely, take some breaks, watch some other shorter shows alongside it or drop it. Depends on how interested you are in the long run to actually get to the end.

I watched it just like how I watch other long series, two episodes a day, I also watch other series at the same time, so far watching Enchousen.

I took breaks in the beginning first half of season 1...I also dropped it twice but after seeing screenshots and bits from the rest of the series that I laughed my ass off at it gave me the motivation to keep going. Now it's one of my fave anime lol

I watched 1-2 episodes a day at most and would keep going until right near episode 100 is when i was enjoying to the point I strongly desired to binge it. I didn't binge only that franchise. I picked days that I know I can get immersed in the Gintama whackyness while saving other days for watching other franchises

I like how OP is asking that like there are definitive creator approved instructions to watch the series.
I did drop it a couple of times because I was getting bored but after the story arc in the red light district I went all in and never stopped.

It's normal that you're bored with Gintama. That's what happens when it's not your anime, man. I'm strained with Gintama - for 10 years I've barely watched 32 episodes in total.
May be some anime?

Gintama is way too long to even consider starting.
But if you watched 48 episodes, and don't want to continue just drop it, easy.

I'd say just watch it like a normal person but if you decided to watch Gintama you already aren't a normal person but a based one.
