Don’t know about different director.

Both seasons are done by different studios.
Season 1 is done by Madhouse. Madhouse tends to adapt a big title, but does not do sequels unless it is Hajime No Ippo~
Season 2 is done by JC Staff. JC Staff is better in romcoms, it is a misfit for them to adapt Super Power anime. They mishandled other Super Power such as Toaru Majutsu No Index~

They can certainly do sequels but idk what happened with opm.

Main staff that worked on season 1 is not in madhouse anymore so season 3 will not same a season 1 even if madhouse do it again.
I don't care in whichever studio they are now i want them to do this season.
